Yeahhhhhh, the UT AD is using you as a pawn. Wow. You are just sad. Just fess up like the rest of the "insiders" that "went silent." You all are anti-vols imo. Coming on here, and pumping people full of vague, b's, non-factual information. People like you are the reason this fan base is a laughing stock, and you are a detriment to the legitimate coaching search. You put crap in people brains that will make it so much more difficult for the next HC to have solid support.

:thud:

Its 2012 all over again..

"Due to the professional rules and confidentiality obligations governing lawyers, I cannot disclose the name of the client for whom I am working this weekend or any details regarding the nature of the representation. But I can say that each of the above statements is true and correct."

Again, when you read it carefully the poster doesn't connect his firm to the negotiations. This would be leaking something that isn't your's.

This line is what gives me and others who are attorneys pause. He is implying, if you read even more carefully, that media has leaked certain details that he can say are true. But he cannot discuss anything about his work or representation. He's basically saying/implying:

1. Media rumors true.
2. I can't say we are working on this but we are.
3. Good times soon cause I know.

And if what I am reading into this is what it is. Then very irresponsible thing. But I will say, if he's being that stupid to say these things, then there could be a lot of fire behind this smoke. So if he wants to potentially ruin his frim's good name and his career so that I can feel a bit better about Grumors, then so be it. :)

Since the 90s???? We won the national championship in 98? Pretty sure I watched that myself and Fulmer didn't even leave until what 2007? Ummmmmmm... Drinking early I see!

Yes got me! been drinking since 2pm. I meant after the 90's

One thing I think is being missed here is just HOW MANY fans are reading this thread daily. I'm in a city far away from Knoxville and jokingly asked my 60 year old UT alum coworker if he had seen the Gruden forum and he said "Oh yeah, check every day, it's hilarious."

Where this comes into play: since there are so many people reading, there are many many people who may suddenly realize they have a connection by way of business partners or friends.

So now VN has a huge reach of people all as interested as the next guy and wanting to share what they know. So is it likely there will dozens of trolls claiming info? Yes. It's also just as likely we DO have some people pop out of the woodwork coming and sharing information.

Separating the wheat from chaff is difficult, but it wouldn't shock me if some of these guys who could be dismissed as trolls because they pop out of nowhere could in fact have real information. Take Tuesday, I think he genuinely is Tee's friend and hopped on here with what he had. Now maybe OrangePill really did have some conversations and dropped what he knew. Just doesn't seem as crazy to me, and today is different than 2012, because the spread of information online is much more ubiquitous across all generations than it was then. Ie limited to younger people who may or may not have the same type of connections.

Just food for thought.

They are honoring the 97 team today. That's way there is so much smoke coming out. John Gruden doesn't want to take away for that .

So here’s a few small nugs from a reputable VQ guy, PowelVolz....1/2 hour ago, regarding JG

“I'm not sure about any of that but he was here yesterday. Don't know about spending the night or flying out this morning.”

and, this....

“Putting some info together. Yesterday, a person inside the AD's office posted that the compliance crew suddenly left with several bags of stuff. The four of them zipped out like they were going to a fire. Source said this was HIGHLY unusual, especially on a Friday.
Just maybe they are giving JG another crash course in compliance.”

1. When people mention atlanta vol and/or atlvol, are they talking about the same person?

2. When this person said he wouldn't be back as long as things were good, did he say why?

We're gonna end up with some suck ass coach nobody's heard of watch
It's what Tennessee does (since the 90's)

I’m no insider but I do have connections in chattanooga. I was told yesterday by the large and hullander group connection that UT has also met with Patterson. So if something crazy was to happen and we wind up not getting gruden at the last minute (Howver, being told it’s done and still believe that) then we have other successful coaches we are going after and that we are willing to pay.

Your attitude is exactly what has been wrong with UT football and half the world. We suck now and no one wants us so why try? GTFO with that mindset. It’s like hearing someone say I can’t get a job so why try. Nothing irritates me more in life than attitudes as the one you are currently displaying.

My hopes are pretty low today, but I am holding out hope based on one thing: Atlanta’s absence.

We know there was a big Wednesday meeting, that he hinted to us about beforehand. He told us he wouldn’t tell us if the deal was done. And he hasn’t posted any news since posting his message about Wednesday being a big day.

It could mean that we got a deal done. Because I do believe that if Gruden had turned us down that ATL would tell us.

So I think we are most likely still awaiting a final decision from Gruden, but it’s also possible he’s already said yes. I don’t think he has said no.
One things for sure.. if.. if he has been signed. It will be after today or next week. Gonna be a long ride.
