Willie Taggart has been at Oregon for one year he isn't leaving for UT, that is beyond silly. Considering what Brohm has done at Purdue why wouldn't he be a candidate? I am not sure what some of you are expecting outside of Gruden. There aren't many sure bets out there and most aren't leaving for UT.

Because it's essentially all media covering this vs Hyams at this point.

Hyams is the only one who maintains UT has had 0 contact with Gruden. Sallee hates Gruden and hates the idea that he might get hired but even he just said on the air that UT was talking to him and that he was listening because he loves to listen to people make him offers.

I just can't imagine making a push at Gruden for $10M and then the next names on the list are Mullen and Norvell.

If you put it out there, you'd have everyone besides Saban jumping to come here and wouldn't have to settle Mullen.

Coach Majors was very complimentary of JG. He has not had contact with anyone at UT. Says it wouldn't surprise him but he has no inside info.

Remember Gruden was under Coach Majors seems possible he would know before anyone else in the media.

This may have been mentioned already but I’m still catching up. IF we do have Gruden then one of the reasons for holding the announcement was given by himself on Mike&Mike. He is “sensitive to the coaches out there”. If this is done its a timing thing. Now it just depends on how much some people in here know, and I hope they’re proven right!

Sallee has been one of the mainstream media guys who have been mocking Tennessee throughout this entire process. It serves him no purpose to lie about it.

Hyams either is clueless or has been told to say what he says.
