So on Monday, right after he fired Butch, Currie held a meeting in the AD with his staff, maybe Peyton, Phil, some major Boosters and the first order of business went as follows:

So I've been thinking about this, with everyone wondering if Gruden is signed then why not go ahead and announce it?

Someone mentioned earlier that Gruden wanted to be respectful of the current coaches and seniors. So which leads some think there wouldn't be an announcement until after Vandy.

But what if we lose tomorrow? We're out of bowl contention, no real reason not to announce it at that point. Give the fans something to be excited about since we won't be going to a bowl.

So if we win, no announcement till after Vandy, if we lose might be an announcement the following Tuesday.
