Just checked hogville.
They are now saying that CJG office is being remodeled for him as we post.
It was fun while it lasted boys. /Sarcasm/
Gruden's Contrat With ESPN
Just to add this, remember that ESPN and the NFL have a $1.8 BILLION deal per year for Monday Night Football, with Jon Gruden as the headlining act in the booth.
Yes, contracts are nothing more than a legal method of beginning, guiding, and terminating a business agreement, however ESPN did not put that stipulation in the contract for the hell of it. They were making sure that they were going to keep Gruden in the booth for the new contract's length. You can bet that any buyout would blow away what a coaching buyout would incur.
Gruden is pulling in $4.3 million per year doing MNF.He works only during the season. He works only a couple of days week. His wife loves Tamapa and he gets to spend mist of his time in that area.Think that he is goin to give that up to work fulltime for the same kind of money? It would take over $8-$10 million per year to get him to leave, plus paying off a huge buyout that could approach $15-$20 million.

The longer we go with no comment from Gruden, the more I think "something" may be ongoing. With a growing story in the media, if he were not interested, I would think he would officially be distancing himself from it. I can find nothing of the sort.

I read that too...:loco:
Even before Gruden inked this deal with ESPN it was widely known that he would one day return to coaching. Why would he agree to a contract that would prevent him from doing his passion, if the right opportunity arose. He is only at ESPN until the right opportunity comes around, working there gives him a chance to market himself and be around the game. Everyone is reading too much into this ESPN thing.
Another poster finally broke it down to them the way it works. Made a lot of sense. But some of them just don't get it. Don't know if I'm aloud to copy and paste from there???
Arky still doesn't understand that they are still the red headed step child of the sec.
(No offense to red heads or step children)
I know we cannot copy and paste from premium sites but as far as I know it is fine to copy and paste from there. Someone correct me if I am wrong...Another poster finally broke it down to them the way it works. Made a lot of sense. But some of them just don't get it.
