I also have an innate ability to insert myself into a conversation at the absolutely worst time.....anyone notice?:eek:lol:
He replied to me but when you replied to him it was so funny and I just replied to your thread instead of his. Sorry for the confusion there.

Older stuff, probably seen and very possibly posted but who can keep up with this thread? It seems that ESPN has never divulged the actual nature of their "exclusivity" w/ regard to Gruden.

Jon Gruden says he would return to coaching for the right opportunity | August | 2012 Articles

Apparently Tux knows. He spoke in absolutes about the contract in question. I asked a few questions and am awaiting his reply. I'm sure he's just out for a nice supper right now, so stick around. I'm sure he'll provide the necessary/requested links to back up his absolute statements shortly.

Here's a good scenario to consider:

The Vols unleash the Dooleywhacker 4 -4 -4 defense on bama and beat them by one on a last second field goal.

Then they travel to SC and early in the game, Spurrier thinks he got a bad call, so he gets that "Oh no, I'm a-dyin'" look on his face. Right about then Bray throws a frozen rope pass that hits Spurrier right in the face, knocking both his visor and that look off his face. And also knocking him out. And since neither team has a coach, the Vols win in an upset.

Then the next day, Dooley is let go and Gruden swoops in and begins assembling the best recruiting class in CFL history.

Everybody wins.

Who sez old folks cannot be optimistic?

Grudens going to Canada?
Just kidding.

I laughed at the frozen rope to SS's face.
That would have to hurt!

Well I have been saying Gruden for a few weeks now. But I am going to be honest, I was starting to question my usually very good sources. Then this morning I have a very large Ole Miss booster friend who got a call from someone I don't know saying all the same things I was hearing. Contract has been signed!!!!
