You know infinitely more about the situation than I do, but I don't know that anything Hart says publicly has any relevance. We've seen the that be the "kiss of death" often enough.

If it is possible for Dooley to keep his job, it is obvious that he has to win 5 of the last 6 games in order to do it.

You're right about the traditional "vote of confidence" often being the kiss of death, but that's what makes this situation so striking IMO. If the administration won't even give you that, you have to be REALLY, REALLY in trouble. As in, maybe you're already gone.

The problem...I think Dooley was told 8 wins at the beginning of the season (or after the UK game). While in theory we can still win 8.....the MSU game was really the key to that.

Only the simple minded still follow the idiot we call coach like he is a god. Tim is in this group.

But, he has a southern accent and wears orange britches...that makes him a good coach.

Dooley has done absolutely nothing for this program other than sink it lower in the cellar of the SEC.

Absolutely spot on.
Dooley has brainwashed a few in this fan base. They will argue that he does well in recruiting. Has he really? He brings in a majority of "projects" and on or two legit players a class. His classes are nowhere near the level of our rivals or the teams we need to beat to be competitive in the SEC.
His gameday coaching reminds me of an 8 year old playing NCAA 13 on the XBox 360. If a play doesn't work, keep running it until it does.
I guess as long as he says the right things in the right accent and wears orange "britches", he is the answer and the rest of us just can't see it.

****in Petrino. Lawyer in Little Rock has been saying this. Please tell me I am wrong.

Oh crap, that is my fear. The AD will go cheap and hope for a miracle and we start the entire process over again for another 3 years. Guess I will get my wish for more room on my row.:banghead2:

About 6-8 weeks a go a booster I know (small) for the hogs told me that he heard that Tennessee had been in touch with petrino. I assured him there was no way UTAD would go that route.

Surely I'm not going to look like a fool. Logic would suggest he wouldn't coach in the sec for awhile.
