Dude..I have NEVER said I support Dooley. I said I support the team. Dooley happens to be at the helm.. Any coaching change talks only hurt the team RIGHT NOW.

In order to stop the coaching change talk, then the AD could stop it by giving its support. They have not done this.

You know infinitely more about the situation than I do, but I don't know that anything Hart says publicly has any relevance. We've seen the that be the "kiss of death" often enough.

If it is possible for Dooley to keep his job, it is obvious that he has to win 5 of the last 6 games in order to do it.

He is certainally in a pickle. I dont think he has to do anything right now except show support for the Vols. Everyone knows whats at stake and the talk about any changes prior to these next few games is counter productive.

Would you agree if our vols hasn't lost to fla ga and msu we wouldn't be having this debate or coaching change talk?

Man they had 2 weeks to prep for msu. There was no excuse for losing that one.

I agree and I like a debate. My issue is the young men. I know your argument is "better things lie in store for them"..and maybe so, but can we throttle back a bit and give them a fighting chance?

Nothing we say here puts the players at a disadvantage. If anything, it should be bulletin board material for them to go out and shut us up.

Tim, if I may be so bold, about 2 weeks ago I was about where you are now with my thinking toward this group. Then after reading and jabbing for the better part of a week I realized that not a single "anti-UT" post had been made in fact relatively few blatantly anti-Dooley comments were coming out. The posts tend to discuss possibilities and what is clearly offered as rumor. Tell you what, watch the game tonight and if we can find any evidence that UT is improving I will back you up with your defense of the Dooley program. Hang around and read these posts, quite a few of these folks are making accurate and very valid points.

I would disagree and point to a similar situation between Hamilton and Pearl during the NCAA bball tourney. The team played awful after his comments. Another one would be Wyoming and Fulmer. I think it does put us at a further disadvantage if Hart says anything right now.

There is a difference between Hamilton and this board. But why would it be a negative effect for the AD to come out and give CDD support? Don't understand this. That was why I posted the lack of support comment. It would all stop if the AD came out and gave full support.
