That's me making a general statement.

If we lose, the Negavols are going to be out in full force completely disregarding the fact that Alabama is far superior to us in talent and depth.

...it'll be tough around here.

See how that works?

Yeah I see it. You are afraid that if UT wins people will argue about keeping the guy that just beat the number 1 team. Pretty simple. You are rooting for Bama.

It's ignorant to call anything pro or con a 100% lock in regards to a coach. I've never said Gruden was a lock. In fact, I don't recall anyone saying he was. OTOH, there have been many saying that it's 100% that he wasn't coming. Apply your credibility standards you mentioned to those two situations, and you have all you need to determine credibility in this thread.

You do know that statement was in regards to the T-bag bet in Ark., right? I know what you all have said. There has been no "guarantees" from anyone on this site. I respect y'all for the info that you are sharing.

This is my biggest thing I get irate about. Somehow saying he is probable or likely to come is somehow less credible than saying he is 100% not ever going to come here.

Somehow, I cannot help but think that anyone that thinks UT is not good enough for Gruden are more negative than we ever thought of being.

I couldn't care less what you 'argue'...beating Alabama will not save your daddy's job.

Like I said. It's a win/win for me if we do beat Alabama. You? You'll cry like a school girl when the man that beat Alabama for his only real win in 3 years gets his walking papers in 2 months.

As much as Gruden donning orange is. Answer the question.

Tim, this is the Jon Gruden thread. Feel free to see yourself out and into the dying Support Dooley thread. Seriously, you can GTFO now.

Wish I was here instead of work. Just too cold tonight and didn't want to drop $500 on gas to watch is get shellacked. It was painful enough that weekend (Florida)

Not sure why the mobile upload made it sideways, oh well no time to eff with fixing it.

I just really let it sink in today.

I have bought into all the Gruden excitement. Yes, it would be one of the biggest hires in recent college football history.

We all know the ties - wife, in-laws, the land (lol!), and his first coaching gig being here.

But what slapped me in the face is the pull his wife will inevitably have on him. She grew up in east TN, graduated from UT, and cheered here as well. Think about it. How many people love the university more than her? I hope she stays in his ear until he succumbs to the inevitable.

Didn't know that it cost that much to fill up a boat of that size..Knew it was expensive but didn't realize it was that much.:eek:hmy:

Ah, yes. The beauty of being a Negavol.

I get to relax, watch the game, and enjoy my new batch of homebrew with the boys.

Afterwards, I get to celebrate win or lose.

Join me Barb...uh...I mean Tim?

That works on my husband, which means I get my way more often than not.:)

Mine holds 132 gallons times ~$4 a gallon. $528 and it takes every bit of a tank to get from Tellico to the stadium and back.

Wow..that's mind-boggling! Learn something new everyday,I suppose..You are one of many millions Anericans that would have the extra benefit of decreasing gas prices b/c you probably have a couple of vehicles to go along with a boat.

From his memoir:

Football really is all I know. Other than going to the beach once in a while and watching the waves, it's really the only interest I have outside of my wife and our three boys. I'm not a scratch golfer. I don't know how to bowl. I can't read the stock market. Hell, I have a hard time remembering my wife's cell phone number. But I can call, "Flip Right Double X Jet 36 Counter Naked Waggle at 7 X Quarter" in my sleep.

I love the competition of the game. I love the players who play it. I love the strategy, the variables. I love the smell of the grass, the sound of the stadium. I love the thrill of victory. I like to see how we respond to the adversity that a loss brings and to the sudden changes that we have to deal with, whether it's a fumble, an interception, a fifteen-yard penalty, or something worse, like our right tackle suffering a broken ankle. What's the weather going to be like? What kind of crowd will we have?
