What are you hearing? Chatter pick up tomorrow you think?

I haven't heard anything other than speculation about Dooley being fired prior to next weeks game. I just know the right people are tired of our current head coach and tonight could have possibly sped the process up.

And to them I say, enjoy coaching the Rams or Browns next year, Mr Gruden. And I'm not interested in your NCAA sanctions, Mr Tressel
Tressel's issue wasn't that big of a deal, IMHO. Did it deserve some punishment. Sure, but I don't see that as an indication that he's a dirty coach. Made a mistake, should be able to learn from it and move on.

Petrino's guff shows his true character.

The Barbara Doorights are shrinking in numbers and in turn making the few that are left louder and more obnoxious.

:shhh: :dunno: :)

The more we lose, the more everyone's moral standards will drop.

Huh? Are you joking, here? He took the Raiders to the Superbowl. Then Tampa traded the farm to snag him.

He took them to the title game and then met them in the Superbowl in his first season after leaving. He should have been in the Superbowl with Oakland but the "tuck rule" dashed the season.

Likely hood low but never never say never.

It was kind of embarrassing in front of a bunch of people that "matter" that are no longer on the fence about Dooley. That's for sure. The clock mismanagement nearing the half was awful. Boos when it's actually still a game is bad and reflective of the "overall" opinion of Dooley.

Still hard to imagine it happening this week although some people have indicated the chances are higher now than at 7pm. We will see.

Chances Dooley is back in 2013: 0
It's not even a viable subject for discussion imo.

Just curious do u post much on hogville?

Just something you said that struck me odd is all

No harm. No foul.

No problem. I don't post much at all and no, I don't post on hogville. I am just a UTK alum who wants to win again, but I don't want everyone to get overly excited about a man who I can't see coaching here. That's all.

Theres been a lot of talk in this thread that Hart wouldn't fire Dooley during the season, but what would happen if Dooley resigned? Just throwing this out there for discussion.

So initially was after sc but tonight's performance could have it happen this week? Wouldn't shock me if true. Would give us some hope for the future.

It would all be the same. Fired or resigned. He was still fired.

alright. time to set it straight.

its been terrible watching the vols this year. we have had missed opportunity after opportunity. However, Hart is not going to fire dooley unless he loses to Mizzou, UK, or Vandy. If he loses to one of those teams, he is gone. Most people on here say its a done deal and he is gone. that is so far from the truth. Dooley is back with a 7-5 season. No realistic booster who has made hundreds of millions looks at one game and makes a rash decision. Thats why they made so much money, because they make smart, focused, and thought out decisions. Is the writing on the wall for dooley? sure, 2013's schedule looks worse than ever, however boosters are not sure they can get the big hire they need right now. these lower tier boosters have contacted gruden, but they are not the haslams or thornton. is gruden interested? yea he has an ear out but is not waiting anxiously for a phone call. If dooley closes out with wins even after a loss to USCe, he is back next year.

My question would be would he still get his buyout?

I do not know the answer, basically thinking out loud...
