Dumb argument. If they can handle the praise and adoration they get from fans they have to be able to accept the criticism that comes with it when they don't perform well. If that criticism comes from a coach then so be it. They are all big boys.

That's wrong. You are talking 19-21 year old kids who live by the feedback they receive from the coaching staff first.

Gruden's representation will use the UTk job to get the best NFL deal. Gruden belongs in the NFL.

Sorry to rain on your parade, and you can ridicule me all you want if I am wrong.

You do know most of those guys with 5 stars would love to play for Gruden.

I'll go out on a limb.

It's going to happen.

There's so much smoke.

I will now watch my hopes and dreams become shattered.

Then be prepared for them to quit on you.

I can do this all day. All. Day.

Would we be able to tell the difference? Guys throwing to the wrong place, running bad routes, dropping balls, missing blocks, missing tackles, blowing chip shot FGs, letting WRs run past them for wide open TDs.

Some of these have been so obvious as to look like they were quitting on him.

The AD doesn't need to release its smear campaign to justify letting him go; the record will do fine on its own. No need to leak buyout or UNC stories that could have come out months ago, but didn't until now, if they are even true.

In the context of the whole response to a direct question that was asked, what Dooley said is hardly hurtful.

The end is practically near. No reason to pile on when hopefully we'll have so much to celebrate soon.

AD didn't release it. If you're constantly told you aren't worth a crap, people tend to start to believe it. It's worked wonders on all those still singing Dooley's praises.
