Doubt it. If the wheels are moving it may be to a point where there would be no turning back no matter what. Even if Dooley and company rattle off 6 straight wins and go to a decent bowl, the sting of never beating (and likely never will beat) UF, UA, and UGA would be enough to can him anyway. I don't see how we could even be competitive with UA in the forseeable future.
Regardless, if Gruden really is lined up and waiting to go, you take him no matter what happens.
Agreed. You take Gruden if you can get him, regardless of what happens the rest of the year. If you can't get Gruden, maybe Dooley can resurrect things by finishing the season 8-4 and win a bowl game?
