Is this "word" the rumored 8-win requirement, as that would explain why CDD is still in office, since 8-4 is technically still in play? Or is this "word" the rumored offer of letting CDD decide how he goes out? Or neither of the two?

Thanks.

You had me at 8.

I hope so...I don't care if Dooley wins evey game left on this years schedule now....I want this over and Gruden at the helm

No future with Dooley. None. I'll be rooting for the PLAYERS this weekend.

I'm realistic but I'll let myself indulge in the Gruden magic for now.

But that was end of season. I'm assuming he was talking about a midseason firing. Would be a PR stink to fire him coming off an upset. Would just make it bad timing

He fecally soiled his place of slumber during and after the press conference yesterday.

Every offensive coordinator in the SEC calling the AD office now asking for Sunseri to stay at his current position.

He is a beaten man, coaching a beaten team. I have defended him in the past, even against Lex, but NO MORE.....

This program needs a boost that only someone like Gruden can give it

Sunseri.....has been a huge disappointment.

Teague on Fla receiver late
Teague on bumpis
Brewer on bumpis
AJ on bama wr

All big 3rd downs. All easy conversions and easy for a jv qb to see from under center. More errors of course, but those sum up the year for me.

A couple of things, if this business about Hart giving his word to assistants for 2013:

1. We have witnessed the worst defense, statistically up to this point, in 120 years. Even at this point, at least the coaches on the defensive side have to understand Hart saying "I'm sorry I gave you my word, but WTF am I supposed to do now? This is ridiculous".

2. It really shouldn't matter who said what promise to who, anyway. All that matters is what is in ink on the contract. If the boosters are willing to pay buyouts, whatever assistants the new coach doesn't want should be given a check and their walking papers.

I wonder if Gruden has already said yes but he wants to bring in his own staff and that's why the big hold up in the process.

Written contracts matter...not oral statements/promises made prior to entering contracts.
