Hold up. Am I missing something? Has a reliable source said that Hart made an offer to Chucky and Chucky declined? This would break my heart!

Do you honestly think they make a first offer and he says, "Ok I am in"? Have you ever bought a car, or interviewed for a job where they want you and you have leverage? If so, and you took the first offer, you left money on the table.

Like I said it would worry me more if reports were he TOOK the first offer.

There is interest on both sides, this is apparent. That was the biggest hurdle imo, making sure he even had interest in coming here. It seems apparent that he does. Next is lining up the money, I believe it is 100% there. Everything else is timing and negotiations that take time to complete. Even if Gruden agrees in principle with UT, no announcements or contracts are done with Dooley still the head coach is my opinion, thus the probably November timeline.

It pisses me off because I'm constantly drawn to this thread hoping beyond hope that there's something to all this. Reason and history tell me I'm crazy for even checking this thread, but you guys that live here are beyond that kind of crazy. Your savior is not coming here. Listen to Terry Fair. I don't live here and I'm not one of the people that's convinced Gruden would come here. Although, I would like him to come here.

Even if all of this turns out to be phony bologna, living in imagination land would be more exciting than Dooley's coaching.
