Skeeter I am perplexed with your last post and heres why... If you are hearing we will seek permission to speak with Mora, Strong, and Golden why in the hell would you have zero info on Gruden? And, if this is the case what has Hart been doing all week? Im sure you are asking yourself the same question and thus you popped up in the Gruden threads I just cant understand the canyon of info between you and others. Otherwise, I have much respect for you for your past contributions and honesty and wish you a happy Thanksgiving.

Tim... I am certainly not Skeeter but maybe we are just a curiosity or maybe there is a reason but I am perplexed as you about the same thing

I'm not sire if this answers your question, but Ainge was told to cool it on the Gruden stuff a few days back. The deal was still in the works and Ainge was told he might screw it up with his comments.

If you think about it, the day Ainge went full Gruden, TB went the other direction. May be coincidence, but I find that interesting to say the least.

That, plus I have to believe that Hart knows full well that Mora won't leave UCLA after one year.

Do you have any idea what he is being paid at UCLA? Why would he stay there?

He said yesterday he had heard things, but not from the right people.

I was all in on this before Erin Andrews got brought up. I just don't see how anyone could believe she has inside knowledge of this situation. She is a sideline reporter, and has never broke anything. If she worked for ESPN, then yeah maybe she got wind of it. But she doesn't. She is at FOX now. Also, Ainge in an interview yesterday said no one really knows anything. That leads me to believe he is hoping and not "knowing".

It is no secret that I get a little info every once in a while, but so far non of mine has really lined up with the majority of the stuff on here except a few odd post here and there...

I don't know about you guys and girls, but this has been the longest few years of Vol football ever. I was lucky enoug to grow up watching in the 70s, 80s, and then in school during the 90s with Kelly, Shuler, Manning, then Martin.. I am excited, but really excited for the kids growing up Vol fans, the students at UT who've probably never seen lights out football played there at Neyland and been on campus with that kind of atmosphere, and most of all...our athletes who you can tell want to do so well, but had little in terms of coaching, respect, pride, and confidence.

If this Gruden news hits...I say to hell with it, let them tear the goal posts down....just to get some practice in, cuz in the next few years those summmbizZches are coming down ....ALOT!!

A million thank yous to our boosters, Peyton Manning, Haslem....and if the news hits, I will never ever get gas anywhere in Knoxville but Pilot again.... I hope you all will try doing the same!

Coasty, the Ath. Dept. is doing all they can to tamp down on the Gruden news. The deal is done. There are way too many long time reliable posters on different sites saying it.

Said this a few times already and It's pretty simple actually. But I'll try again...whether the AD told him to hush or not, he knew Gruden didn't want to be publicly attached to the job while Dooley was still the HC. He didn't want to say anything to jeopardise getting Gruden so he changed his tune for the time being. Notice Ainge went back to talking Gruden after Dooley was fired. It's really not that hard to fathom.

That makes sense VM14.... Also the fact that Skeeter come in here with drivebys either says he has been told to cool it on Gruden or he is suspicious that Hart actually has a done deal with him and is trying to discover what we know???

It was my understanding that the brass is making this decision and not hart.. because they were sick of the AD screwing up the hires, and ruining the football program..hart will jist take the credit..

Born in 97. It sucks. Best vol team I can ever remember is 2004, and that is only vaguely. We NEED Gruden.
