SIAP, but I haven't seen this anywhere. As everyone knows opposing coaches have most likely been telling highly rated recruits "If you sign with TN, DD won't be there. This is often a very effective tool to persuade recruits to change their minds. However, if we do get JG, wouldn't it be hilarious, that those coaches could be spot on in regards to DD not being here, but now have to fight like heck to keep their top recruits from being stolen by the new kid on the block. :)

Been following this thread since the beginning, but have only posted a couple of times. No lie, it will be a HUGE let down if Dooley is retained and if Gruden is not our new head coach. I remember my first visit to Neyland Stadium like it was yesterday. 1978, we played UCLA under the direction of Jimmy Streater. We got beat that day but from that day on I never missed following a game whether on the radio, TV, or in person. My dad and I always watched or listened together and through the years shared the same passion that was "Big Orange" football. I have a 14 yr old son now and while a huge Tennessee fan, he never seems to be able to watch an entire game with me. As we continue losing, he loses more and more interest in watching. I know, I know, I must have done something wrong along the way. Last Saturday, he said to me " Dad, do you think we will ever be great again?"... And I just gave him a simple and profound answer. SOON son, SOON!

Money talks....to show our support for Gruden we need Freak to take a collection and send Dave Hart a check on behalf of VolNation....if we could get 1,000 posters to contribute $10 each, I think the gesture would not go unnoticed.

Sipping bourbon on the rocks and just watched Cal get a 68 yard run on 3rd and 26 on Wilcox defense.
