Why is Gruden not realistic in your opinion?

Just not convinced that's all. He has it made with MNF, and I don't really see him leaving. Secondly, I am under the impression, and I think history backs me up on this, that the administration/AD/whoever has always managed to screw up a 'big time' hire. I've been a fan of UT all my life---with that comes a certain pessimism I guess.

Those don't strike me as names that needs big money thrown at to get. Nor worth big money. This is gonna be 4 coaches in 6 years so let's just go all out and pay for the big name guy. I know easier said than done but I'm just sick of coaching changes.

Not sure about golden but the other 3 would require huge money.

You Bruin, however, have demonstrated that you are better at flapping your jaws than reading comprehension.

I can totally accept that. Good reply.

This is more realistic, in my opinion. Personally, I really like both Strong and Golden. Both have been quite impressive considering the circumstances.

Golden has not been the savior at the U that they had hoped he would. Strong, while a good up and coming coach has a 9 - 0 record against opponents with a 14 and 41 record. He's only beaten two teams with a winning record. True....more than Dooley has won, but nontheless, very underwhelming so far. I dobelieve some day he will be a very good coach, not just now.

Vol Nation CDhristmas Wish List:

1. Gruden to Vols
2. Saban to Browns
3. Dooley to Browns or UTC AD
4. If #1 does not happen, then Cheek to Siberia
5. If #4, Hart to follow.

First off...until Gruden says no I couldn't care less.

Secondly...I'm just relaying whispers. These are names that may surface in the "process"

Patterson would be a great hire, Strong might be a good choice but still hasn't won me over yet.

As Lex said yesterday. This has the potential of being a watershed moment for UT sports. I believe it can be done.

Strong would recruit lights out. He would win big at UT. I don't have a doubt about it.

He is so deep into Florida recruiting that enterprise just leaves a gallon of Astroglide in the trunk at the Miami Airport.
