So no press conference today. So are we under the idea that it still will be at the end of the season or will it take a loss to Vanderbilt or possibly a Tuesday presser? What are your opinions. Once the public announcement then we can chase Gruden to bring him home. But we have to sever ties with Dools quick.

Jmo but I looking for one Monday after the UK game. If we make a bowl, interim for that game will be announced as well. Again jmo.

Why wait now???? Cats out of the bag. It's all over the media. It will be more of a distraction to this team than if he were fired publicly. Lets try to win these last two.

Like I said before , if they are willing to pay big money and its going to be a huge hire, then there is no way it's Golden, Smart, Pretrino, those are not big time hires. If Smart or Golden is hired then they should just turn out the lights and lock the doors on Neyland.

Ainge has not been misled, he knows what side his bread is buttered. Look at al the interet activity this is bringing to their station, makes it much easier to solicit new business when your trafic numbers are up from listeners.

Just the masses prepared for another long wait with nothing being said. I made sure I sent an email last night that let Dave Hart know I will not purchase my football tickets if they bring back Dooley or bring in Kirby Smart. Gotta go big like Gruden, Petrino, heck even Gruden's protoge in Raheem Morris but not Kirby Smart or go back to Fulmer even. Don't expect it to matter but felt it is too late to say my piece once they say Smart was hired.

Seems to me though the best way to improve your ratings at this point would be to talk about Gruden 24-7, though...no?

Ainge is now making a living by people taking him seriously. He isn't going to get on the air and report info he isn't sure is correct as a certainty under any circumstances. His livelihood depends on it. Think about it, who in their right mind would continue to listen to him if he intentionally misleads his listeners.

Ainge and his info is one of two things here:

1) he is correct and the JG issue is dead and past. Which means his info is more up to date than the info in this thread.

2) his info was correct last week but something has changed with The issues JG needed taken care of and JG is now back on board.


I hope it's the 2nd one but its more logical that his info is more up to date.

Not if Gruden's "peeps" have reached out to Ainge and said to change his tune so the questions don't keep coming towards Gruden. Ainge has mentioned like 10 coaches now.

I don't understand why the AD doesn't go ahead and announce it if indeed it has happened. I don't see any benefits at all of waiting until after the UK game.
