Still holding out hope for a today-tomorrow announcement. Would give a boost going into Vandy removing all the uncertainty imo. Media may force them to do so, or have the only UT discussion until they do involve Dooley not tickets, the team, or the games. Makes no sense to not announce something.
Ainge has not been misled, he knows what side his bread is buttered. Look at al the interet activity this is bringing to their station, makes it much easier to solicit new business when your trafic numbers are up from listeners.
Why would they put him out there like that? He will be blasted.
I`m with you! I`m so freakin happy I don`t care if it`s 2 weeks. I know his azz is grazz and that`s all that matters! Gruden or Strong has to wait to accept the job anyway. I`d go ahead and can hin and let Jay Graham be interim. The team would play their tales off for Jay. But Dools is gone, and that`s all I care about today. Go Vols!

So no press conference today. So are we under the idea that it still will be at the end of the season or will it take a loss to Vanderbilt or possibly a Tuesday presser? What are your opinions. Once the public announcement then we can chase Gruden to bring him home. But we have to sever ties with Dools quick.
We occasionaly need to be reminded, these guys are not working on our schedule. We've known a timeline for all of this since after the MSU game. I don't know why they don't haven't made an announcement yet, but it still all coincides with the timeline I was given from the beginning. You can be sure somebody involved has a very good reason for the way this is proceeding. I know how it ends up....everything else is just conjecture at this point.
I know it is frustrating, but I've heard nothing that makes me believe anything will happen until after UK. Anything could happen, but that's what I've been told.
Same goes for the Gruden info. Nothing has changed.
To be able to concentrate on Vandy and maybe still make a bowl? That's my number 1 reason. It's all over the media, this whole week will be a circus if they don't. Players will feel pressure all week. Leave him on the sidelines if you want, just make it official.
This is not just my opinion it seems to be half of the argument. Hopefully Gruden is why they are waiting, otherwise it is giving up on making a bowl just to wait another week. Makes no sense to me.
