I doubt Hart was just waiting. Even if he did want to give Dooley every chance, he knew a loss in November was certainly possible. I believe the reports that Hart started his work after MSU and was doing his research.

The Dooley (public) firing and the Gruden hiring thing may be totally different things even though they are running congruently. They could be hanging DD out there in order to leverage him for a reduced buyout or honoring a deal they made with him to let him go out the way he wanted to.
As far as Gruden goes, he if wants to finish out his gig on MNF without distraction, this is probably the best way to go about it. If it is Gruden, recruiting will not be a problem and if reports are true and he has been working on a staff, he should be able to hit the ground running. JMO

There was way too much smoke a few weeks ago about Gruden for the "Hart is giving Dooley every chance" to be true. Hell, Basilio was saying Hart was trying to rehab Dooley after the Troy debacle which makes no sense. It just doesn't jive that Hart would be beholden to a failing coach that he didn't hire.

That is a possibility for sure. People think the big $$$ donors control things. I say they control nothing. They may talk loud and threaten this or that, but they control nothing. They didnt control things when Hamilton was there. At the end of the day Hart is the AD and ADs have egos just like the rest of us.

Interesting. NFL contracts are much stricter and there definitely has to be an opening for him to leave early. I love the info- just hope it's true.

Not that I totally believe it. But I don't understand why he would be stepping down from MNF early unless an NFL team is gonna hire him to finish this season. If he is stepping down from MNF in Nov. that is a good sign for UT IMO.

I wouldn't say complete idiot. I enjoy listening to his show. But no I do not believe him. I will continue to believe what the orginal Gruden insiders posted back in Gruden 1 and 2 until they say otherwise.

C'mon man. UT AD is already struggling financially, you really think Hart is going piss off the big money boosters now? Now is not the time. Basilio is posting 100% garbage.
