If you had to pay a guy 5 million to boot him, I think you might consider giving him every chance.

I also think the "smoke" was coming from the message boards, not legitimate media with one exception being that little blurb on ESPN about Gruden possibly being interested. But I always went back to the fact that Gruden has dropped that line a dozen times before and nothing came of it.

If anything the media is overplaying items for ratings or being used to drive home a point.

Anybody that gets in the way of a good hire would be sleeping with the fishes.

N0 way hart is going to go against Big Boosters if they have found their man,it would be suicide. Talk about reaches that is the farest reach I have heard. Not happeining,IMHO! GO VOLS GET GRUDEN!!!!!!!!!!:rock:

i in no way said his last game being on nov.26 meant he was going to be tennessees head coach. but he has informed espn he is looking at that being the last game. and very good point whoever made it why would he leave mnf early if it was for a nfl job

I'm skeptical of this but if true I don't think nov 26 coincides with anything to do with the NFL.

I poseted this earlier, but here is what makes sense:

1. The boosters are trying to get Gruden. If they do, he is our coach.

2. There has to be a contingency plan in case #1 falls through. Hart is leading this charge by talking to agents for other candidates, which also provides nice cover for #1.

The disconnect in this whole ordeal is fans looking at it from UT's perspective. I understand this is natural and is our biggest concern but there are other pieces to the puzzle that have to be wrapped up legally by both parties.
