When has the crown jewel of Tennessee athletics been this dismal and in such a terrible place as well as LOSING millions of dollars per home game at an increasing rate with each passing game?

There really is no difference between $4.5M and $6.0M when it comes to giving it out for a coach. The only difference is that one number gets you your coach and the other doesn't.

How much is Nick Saban worth to the Bama Athletic Dept.? Far more than the "high" salary they pay him. If we want to be competitive in the SEC we have to enter the arms race.

Does this mean that hmanvolfan is gone?? :eek:hmy:

Just on a long trip.
He'll be back.

Ok just got this text from a friend who is connected to boosters. Not that it is shocking news but here it goes.

"Dooley's done boys wrote the check today!
I can tell you this much the checks are wrote and the plane is flying they are wheeling and dealing as we speak"

I just hope they are headed to meet Gruden.
What check? Why would anybody need a check?

Exactly this.

By the university's own calculations, it LOST >$2M in ticket sales ad revenue for the TROY GAME ALONE.

$2,000,000.00 in one game of Lost revenue.

This more than makes up for the question of, "can UT pay that much for a Gruden-type coach.". After the Troy game it's aparant that UT cannot NOT pay that much.

Thought so. The guy was simply amazing. I miss seeing him play. Ribery is my second favorite player of Bayern's. I love the guy's fire, and for someone that is as gifted as he is, remarkably unselfish.

Zidane was one of a kind. I can't stand Real but had to watch them when he was there. Shame the way he went out.

Ribery is a blast to watch also. Very different type of player, but so gifted.

This is the voice of reason

You want the man then your going to have to pay the man!

We all have a $ to change jobs. Money makes this world go 'round.

Pony up or get used to the cellar.

It's hard be the first one to break a story like this. It can literally make or break a career so I can see why no one is putting their necks out on this one. That's just my opinion.

BUT, I will say this, Ainge is not as connected to knowledge as he thinks when it comes to Gruden. And the only reason I say this is because I've heard it from others since he has gone on the record as saying "Gruden is 100% NOT coming."

Doc, I have a question. What has changed since you posted this on 10/28? I may be behind so SIAP. Thanks!

"This has been the scheduled departure for at least the last week an a half. It's going to happen--Dooley has been done for weeks.

I still believe it will be made official Sunday and Gruden will make a public comment about accepting the position on MNF.

Official Gruden introduction on Tuesday or Wednesday. Hinshaw will be named interim for the rest of the season."

Obviously it was incorrect. What do you want him to say?
