Glad it's the morning time. This forum really gets weird at night. Can someone give some positive information about Gruden. The last thing I read he wasn't coming....

After reading through the cliff notes and listening to the local media, is everyone in agreement that the Gruden rumors are dead at this point?

It's not dead till we say it's dead...... ha ha ha, seriously, it will be dead when Gruden tells us no, only then

Who would be your big hire Bruin?

There is a number of names that I don't believe are realistic out there like patterson, peterson, Kelley .... But the big realistic one for me is strong!!!

I like petrino but can't call him a huge hire because of the split opinions in the fanbase.

There isn't only one!!

We don't all agree

Perhaps there are other really great coaches on market, but there really is only one Rock Star opportunity...which would be a unifying hire for UT, if it were to develop.

Agree to that?

You post the same thing practically everytime you come in this thread

Not totally convinced the UT Admin has the fans best interest at heart.........Derek Dooley?

I just don't get the Charlie Strong following, his team has not played a hard schedule this year. I think the Vols would have a similiar record if they played Louisville schedule.

If KY said no to Petrino why would we want him? His name alone brings a lot of negative vibes.

He played a big role for those Florida teams that won two national titles, and compared to what we have I think any kind of meaningful experience helps.

Another source is claiming that Gruden has reportedly been reaching out to potential assistant coaches in case he plans to return to the sidelines in 2013. It didn't help that a wide-eyed Gruden (knowing him he had likely been up since 3 AM), was surrounded by Eagles fans on a flight out of New Orleans Tuesday morning following that previous night's Eagles-Saints game.

Let's take a step back here people. Yes, it's possible that Jon Gruden wants to get back into coaching again. And it's certainly possible that Andy Reid will be gone in Philadelphia at the end of the season if not sooner. But if Gruden is going to return to Philadelphia, where he served as offensive coordinator under Ray Rhodes in the mid-90s, it's not going to happen anytime before January.

For the insane, a roller coaster. For the calm, a seesaw.

After you are on this board long enough, it's really neither. Take everything with a grain of salt, because it's going to play out one way or the other no matter how we react on here to it.

I have changed a little bit about Petrino. I could accept him here, but it would be a have to case. I guess I am tired of being on the bottom of the SEC pile I would make a pack with the devil to be winning.

I can relate. It's the same deal in Colorado. Southern accent and hospitality gets brownie points! Love it.

Man, I love it in Colorado. Beautiful country and ladies. And you're right. A Sputhern accent will get you far.

Sure we would have a similar record but that means nothing unless you feel Tennessee and Louisville have equal programs with equal potention.

Every post you have made on Volnation has been in the Gruden threads but one and that was about the new forum Tennessee Coaching Rumors and Speculation. The Eagles are in worse shape than the Vols when it comes to their management.
