My buddy won't drink anything but natty light unless we're at a bar that doesn't sale it, and most don't. Then he goes with Mich light.

Weird. I'm trying to remember what Natty Light taste like. My one friend used to drink it all the time because it was the cheapest. I just assumed Natty Light, Busch Light and Bud Light all taste about the same. Watered down beer.

You know what really bothers me about the nega-grudes is the fact they don’t really have any reliable information that Gruden is not coming but the reasons are “He would never come to Tennessee”, “Why would he come to a screwed up mess like UT is in?” or “It’s a pipe dream to think any coach of Gruden’s caliber would even consider Tennessee”.
Are these nega-grudes confidence in the program so low that they think we are destined to be a mediocre program for eternity? I realize that we have experienced significant lows over the last several years but to think a program with the rich heritage of Tennessee, the +100,000 plus seat stadium, the beautiful campus, the rabid fan base, and the other second to none facilities is an average , will continue to be a middle of the road SEC school is ridiculous. I, frankly, believe that we should expect no less than a top tear coach. To think that our only option is to roll the dice on another up and comer is laughable.

Like I said earlier its win win for them. They either get to say I told ya so or who cares if I was wrong we got Gruden.

Since I don't have much in terms of direct contribution to this thread other than dumb silliness and moral support, I'd like to open a discussion within the thread about boosters, money and possibilities.

Last year, There were rumors here about CSUAD hiring away Alabama's OC, Jim McElwain. People here, those that care, were saying NO WAY. He'd never come here. We suck too bad. Why would be leave the wing of Saban?

Well, a year later at $1.5M per year...he's here.

As I stated before, he frequents my bar in the off season, and he has opened up to me somewhat, because of my SEC background and the fact that I own the bar. Anyhow, he and I have talked several times about the state of the CSU football program and the direction it's going. He told me directly, that his goal is to get the boosters together to raise money for a new football stadium...on campus. One with a retractable roof, that has a 45k-60k capacity. He believes it will help him recruit. Then he went on to discuss his ambitions of winning his way (with CSU) into the Big 12. We talked about the teams bailing (at that time) and it being a perfect time for him to sneak in there. And we talked about how big that would be for my business when teams like TX, OU, OSU, TT, etc...came to Ft Collins. My eyes and ears were wife open as you can imagine.

I asked him about the money from boosters. He said, "we already have all the private sector money in place. $450M for a new stadium was a piece of cake."

Fast Forward to now: this is happening. Non-football people and "green" cultures in Ft Collins are protesting it because they think it's a waste of tax dollars....and they refuse to believe CSU boosters have that kind of money. LOL

the fact is, a lady named Pat Striker, a lical billionaire has actually tapped into her financial resources and has begun a north Ft. Collins improvement project. They have completed a new highway widening project, they are going to build a whitewater kayak river park in down town, new historical renovations are occurring as we speak. It's happening...and Coach Jim McElwain told me it would. I tried to tell others it was going to happen and no one listened.

I liken my story to the situation in Knoxville...because football drives the bus. As stated before...more for just the University....the whole damn city and state. Jim brought this philosophy here from his experience as Tuscaloosa and he knows what he is doing...it's actually easy to see. I can easily see why it would be a necessity to UTAD to make this hire above and beyond any other prospect.

It's a vision!

Natty is a poor man's Busch LOL.

These are bad. I drank plenty of them in HS

If I'm desperate to get wasted on crap beer, I usually do Milwaukee's Best Ice and Keystone Ice.

If you compare all the Ice Beer and highly alcoholic beers, Keystone is by far the healthiest and it's not even close. And by healthy, I mean way less awful for you lol. You have to be the crap in a 30 pack though and I don't know who wants to drink 30 of that.

I wouldi like to first apologize to our friends above the mason-Dixon line for the following comment.

I believe Ainge played for the Jets. Sounds like a bit of the NY (I have indoor plumbing) attitude has rubbed off on him.

Thought so lol.

Isn't Busch a poor man's Bud Light though?

Pretty much everyone I know that drinks regularly still drinks Busch. I'm talking about people going on 30. Wedding receptions, bachelor parties... always lots of Busch beer being drank.

When I went to etsu up in j.c everybody raved about how great fat tire beer was. Anyone else ever try it? Thought it tasted like trash personally. Waay overrated.

Nah, Belgian Quads and lots of English styles should be drank around 50 degrees.

Also, Double Door Brewing of Nashville (now closed) used to have a winter beer called wassail that was served hot. Had it at last years Winter Warmer and it was pretty awesome. It was pretty damn cold that day too.

I've tried a few of those foriegner beers...didn't care for em. One of my favorates in Nashville is Guerst. It's a little German place right accross from the Titans stadium. They serve em in a frosted fish-bowl mug.

Hot Dang...Just called the boss. We're going after after work.
