Since everyone is on board with JG just wanted to throw out there a recruiting question..

How do you all feel recruiting will go?? Now I believe JG, Jay, and Tee ( I assume he will be on staff) will clean up. However, I also believe the staff will have a heavy NFL influence any take on how they will adjust??

Go with that, then come back and see us in December. We'll still be here, and still be accepting new members.

Boro,

Being new to the board I have enjoyed reading your posts. I have found when someone is trying “too hard” to convince or make a point, that point probably has little validity to it. From what I have seen from you, this isn’t the case. You have been providing info that I am convinced you believe and have remained calm, cool and confident about that info. I have been skeptical with JG coming to TN but from the consistency and content of your post’s I have to say I am a believer. Thanks for sharing your information with us. Go Vols!

ESPN speculating this morning that when the SD Chargers go to play Peyton and the Broncos, it could be Turner's last game if they get blown out. And this could throw open the SD position for some to speculate about...

If we get Gruden, we'll rank top 5 nationally for at least 3 years. And if he wins, then the sky is the limit.

Sorry to hear my friend

Bourbon
3 Lemons sliced up and brought to a boil in water
Orange honey

2 shots of bourbon, lemon juice and a couple drops of orange honey

sip in a coffee cup before bedtime.

I highly recommend this.

Except make it 3 shots of moonshine and forget about the lemon juice and honey.

It is a lifestyle choice, bro. You can choose to go through this as a Negagrude or a Posigrude. I joined the Posigrudes back around thread number II and see no reason to change. Come he!! or high water, I am on the Gruden train until it either pulls into or leaves the station.

I flipped around JG II or III. I just couldn't defend this pathetic coaching staff any longer and I defended all of them, especially Dooley, as hard as anyone. I'm fine with him finishing out the season if it means Gruden is the guy but in all seriousness, he shoulda been canned a long time ago.

Here is where I have gone with my mindset.....I really hope guys like Boro, OV, Jay and more are correct. I just can't get hyped up anymore. I have been reading old stories where he almost took the ND job and a couple of times in the NFL and then left them at the alter. I want to believe but at this point it feels like Peyton to the Titans, Lovie on a plane, and shannon a done deal. I will still hope that he comes and is 100% by early Dec. however....call me a skeptic now.

I've been following this thread since Gruden IV and have been keeping my eyes open. Nothing I have seen makes me believe these guys are trolling and if you watch closely, you'll see that things are happening just as they predicted. Roller coaster ride for sure, but I'm in for the ride.

Agree. Even if a MOU/MOA has been signed it doesn't bind Gruden to anything. He can easily walk away to the better deal in the NFL. We may be an instrument to achieving his real goal. I have No idea.

The difference here is that Gruden is not dealing with strangers. He is dealing with friends/colleagues he has worked with closely along the way--Majors, Peyton, etc., and even Fulmer.

Throw in the influence of his wife, and I don't see him playing UT. If he wasn't really interested, I think he would have made that known from the beginning. We'll see.

I'm not a recruiting guru, so anything I say will be speculation. Ron Zook is a lights out recruiter, as are Tee and Jay Graham. I would have to believe he knows recruiting is the lifeblood of this program, and will plan his staff accordingly.

Also I don't believe you can overstate how much cache Grudens name will carry, especially this year in recruiting. The publicity surrounding this will unfathomable.

Good point. Can never underestimate the wife or his connection to the University.

Not saying he can't back out, but how many other teams do you think he's signed an MOU with? j/s

Just tell Gruden State Taxes are horrendous in California.

Yep, apparently Tennessee's state tax system is very appealing to Gruden. But in my opinion the only job in the NFL that would intrigue Gruden this year would be SD, but the NFL teams have a much different timeline. We think December, they think mid-January and early Feb. I do not think Gruden goes there because they appear very interested in Reid and Mangini. JMO

Somethings we all can agree on:

a) We all want Dooley fired (I do believe he has been already, but that is not fact)

b) We would love to Gruden to be our next HC.

c) If he is not we will survive, but it better be a good hire.

d) If better not be someone like Golden.

e) If you 100% believe something someone posted in this thread you are a fool.

Good people of Tennessee, I implore you...Gruden. Make it so, 'cause I can't take much more of hoping we can beat the likes of Vandy.
