Boro,

Being new to the board I have enjoyed reading your posts. I have found when someone is trying “too hard” to convince or make a point, that point probably has little validity to it. From what I have seen from you, this isn’t the case. You have been providing info that I am convinced you believe and have remained calm, cool and confident about that info. I have been skeptical with JG coming to TN but from the consistency and content of your post’s I have to say I am a believer. Thanks for sharing your information with us. Go Vols!

Thanks....I'm really not here to convince anyone. If I didn't know what I do, I'd be skeptical too. I can't blame anyone that doesn't know me for feeling that way.

Yep, apparently Tennessee's state tax system is very appealing to Gruden. But in my opinion the only job in the NFL that would intrigue Gruden this year would be SD, but the NFL teams have a much different timeline. We think December, they think mid-January and early Feb. I do not think Gruden goes there because they appear very interested in Reid and Mangini. JMO

I don't think he will make this decision based on taxes. JMO. I think he will make this decision with his gut--where does he want to be the most?

Big mistake if they hire mangini. He's a bum

They might be interested in those two because they've been told through the grapevine that Gruden's heart is somewhere else. This would lead to these NFL insiders starting to leak the story.

All throughout this process I have stated that high dollar boosters don't always have any clue what is going on and in fact I have been burned already a few weeks ago in this ordeal. With that being said this is what I was just told from a very high booster.

Yesterday he told me he was confident just as most on here are but this morning he is getting word that golden will be the guy. Surprisingly he was pretty excited about golden as he always felt gruden was a tough get.

Do I think he is plugged into to exactly where this process is ??? I don't but I did think its worth noting that huge boosters don't think it's happening now after being confident yesterday.

Haha, I don't think that either, I was simply putting that out there, in case the scales were balanced and he needed one more thing as a deciding factor.

That's funny......Hyams just said Gruden is definately not coming. :) These guys are playing it to the hilt.

I heard that from him this morning here in Nashville, then when Mark Howard said if it isn't Gruden what does the list look like and Hyams started stammering around before finally saying, well I'd hate to get into a list with Dooley still sitting as coach. HAHAHAHA!! You aren't getting into a list because THERE IS NO LIST and you know it. Good try HiYams.

I'm typically not a follower, more of a leader. But in this case, I'm following the leaders here and have actually done some snooping around with my connections in Tennessee and find everything to be very easy to follow.

Y'all sold me on this, however long ago it was, and really don't question things at all. It's just too convincing and you don't even need to be downwind of it to smell the activity.

Somethings we all can agree on:

a) We all want Dooley fired (I do believe he has been already, but that is not fact)

b) We would love to Gruden to be our next HC.

c) If he is not we will survive, but it better be a good hire.

d) If better not be someone like Golden.

e) If you 100% believe something someone posted in this thread you are a fool.

a) Nah...just replaced.
b) Yep
c) n/a
d) see c
e) anyone yes. Some you can atleast believe that they believe what they post.

Is Golden a great coach?

Here is where I have gone with my mindset.....I really hope guys like Boro, OV, Jay and more are correct. I just can't get hyped up anymore. I have been reading old stories where he almost took the ND job and a couple of times in the NFL and then left them at the alter. I want to believe but at this point it feels like Peyton to the Titans, Lovie on a plane, and shannon a done deal. I will still hope that he comes and is 100% by early Dec. however....call me a skeptic now.

Nothing at all wrong with this. Nothing.
