Looks to me like Jon enjoys the area and has plenty of family and friends

The people who get upset in these threads at the info are just hilarious. It is the rumor and speculation forum right? If we create a tennessee fact forum then maybe they would be happier there. Just enjoy the ride. If you are really a vol fan then just allow yourself to feel there is at the very least a possibility that we may be very good once again soon. If you think everyone is full of crap then go crawl in your hole and we we let you know when you can come out and cheer with the rest of us.
Think about the example of calipari & ky basketball. $ is irrelevant if you get the right guy. Right coach =recruits=wins=big $ for the university
Exactly. The model is there. It's proven to be successful. The boosters are very rich, wealthy men. You don't get that way by being stupid. They understand that sometimes you have to invest in the business to remain competitive and increase profitability.
Don't get me wrong, I do take away positive vibes from what La Canfora said, however, when I lived in DC, he was the Skins beat writer and was known as Jason La CantReporta. Also, had an unhealthy obsession with Leigh Torrence. Trolled skins fans.
However, he was obviously doing something right if he was offered a job as a national reporter with NFL network.

That's interesting because a couple of DC posters (former residents) validated his reputation competes opposite of what you just described.

Not saying he's a bad reporter at all. He's just kind of a smarmy d**che in some ways, but a good reporter. I think what he said was totally valid and a legit opinion. Tennessee isn't really relevant up there, so he had no reason to throw it out there unless he actually felt that way.
Think Hubbs with some of the minor d**che characteristics of Rucker. He is respected as a journalist.
