Can some of you post some of the "SOON" pics of Gruden? Didn't want to sift back through 8 threads when I know some of you know exactly where they are. Thank you kindly in advance.

Wasn't sure if this was oneof the ones you were referring to but here goes:

That's the only thin that scares me anymore about this whole deal...an embarrassment.

Having said that, bcarter, or anyone else for that matter....do y'all think all this social media can do or has done damage to the process?

Can it? Absolutely. Stories like the Webb thing and Gruden sightings everywhere make him look like a rookie Kiffinesque asstard sneaking around behind the back of the currently employed coach. Its embarrassing to us, him, and the University. It needs to stop.

Has it already hurt anything, I do not think so. I just wish those kinds of posts would stop, not going to go on a rant like last night, but that type of thing CAN and WILL hurt the process.

People don't realise there's a difference in posting he is/he isn't coming rumors vs post about seeing him everywhere and mentioning his family. Gruden strikes me as the kinda person you don't wanna piss off!

It's man's natural instinct to look to a higher authority when in doubt. Religion, government, it's all a natural development of the human mind (btw, I am a Christian). As to support the so called "unsubstantiated" claims, let me give an example: if you have a city with a full economy, and then give a stock market that publicly allows access to information on every business in the city, you doom yourself, but why? The reasoning is that if everyone has the same information, most will reach the same conclusion. So when a sell starts, eventually everyone falls in line and sells as well, because no one wants to lose their stock in falling companies, and so you cause a market freefall. Market crashes, and your economy is in shambles for the foreseeable future. The only way to have a true FME is to not have a stock market and remove the government completely in money matters. This also causes problems with the government being able to project power, because hiking taxes to support themselves enough to appropriately defend the country will cause a severe class gap to open. The sacrifice of the TRUE FME is a natural economic evolution. The problem afterwards being, what is the next step in the evolution process? But I digress, we could go forever debating this topic.

Oh, that clears everything up...wtf

Go Vols!!!!

What it be Sam? How are you this fine morning?

Doing well. Gotta baby sit my 4 year old nephew today while my fiance is doing her bachelorette party.

Grude morning everyone!

Grude morning Jug.

Just cuttin down some cherry oak trees Sam. Gonna make some desk later.

That's a rare wood. Be delicate with it. The desks that are made out of that wood are vury spensive from what I hear.

I had a ton of crazies in the bar last night...sometimes they annoy me.

The mo crazies, the better. Unless they annoy you.

We may not end up getting Gruden, but just looking at how things have transpired the last week makes me believe that we are close. I am inclined to believe boro, ov, jay, etc that there is an MOU which is pretty much the end of it, but all we can do is hope that it is true.

I am certain that if an MOU has been signed, then there must be a confidentiality provision which would kill the deal. There will be some hurt feelings at the end of this by people who trust other people, but I hope that everyone can realize that any mis-information is for the greater good.

Did y'all read the two posts explaining the legalities and tendencies of the MOU process??

It's a lot of pages back...and I knew it needed to be posted in the Cliff Notes...and wish it had been.

If you haven't read it...find it. I found it to be very informative and encouraging regarding Gruden.

Lucky you. I'm positive it won't be Gruden. Too many reliable posters say its not.

Haven't seen reliable posters say that. The true reliable ones say its done. Even when Hubbs won't deny it should tell you something. He knows its done but obviously has been told not to break it for very obvious reasons. If it truly wasn't happening it would have been squashed long ago by ones that are reliable. And no Hyams,Rucker and Ainge aren't reliable. Tee,Graham,Morris,Hobby who have been contacted don't scream NFL staff. Enjoy the ride dude it's Gruden and has been.

Ok, so what's on the menu today tailgaters?

I made some nice chili yesterday. Not sure yet if I'm gonna let it stand on its own with some cheese, onions and some Fritos with a side of cornbread or if I'm gonna make some chilidogs or something like that.

But BC, if there is any truth to it, then he would have to blame himself. He has to know that he is a celebrity and people are going to take notice if they see him, especially around Knoxville right now.

If the rumors are false, then what does he care? He wasn't here.

There are crazy people everywhere.

Me and Sam were having a heathy debate on economic principles. Just continuing on lol

I agree with keeping the government out of the economy. I disagree in principle with the notion that people necessarily look to government as an authority figure. Government is composed of elected individuals that are supposed to be public servants. That does not scream "authority" to me. I understand that the government has grown itself to the point where many regard it as an authority, but that is the whole problem. Anyway, good discussion. We'll keep it Gruden related now that the day shift is swingin'.
