Tried making another Gruden Gif last night. I thought we were supposed to post 'em in the FF thread, but none of the FFF'ers noticed it. Then again, it could be that it just isn't very good.

As I told somebody on here last week. Just when you start feeling confident, take a look down to the Tennessee sideline. When you spot a pair of orange pants, it will bring you back to reality rather quickly.

Was up til 3. My brother surprised me and showed at the house last night. Drove in from Houston. Still drunk. Gonna be a good day and weekend.

Im 100% in on Gruden to UT and hopefully if all the speculation is true he is named HC sooner rather then later bc looking at the current espn, scout, etc. rankings our recruiting is terrible. I dont want to hear about all this diamond in the rough garbage either, we are not currently recruiting good prospects right now. I'm afraid if UT doesn't get a home run hire(GRUDEN) UT is not gonna be good for a while.

Not me, but then again I do not hang my optimism or pessimism on forum posters I do not know in real life. If the only place I hear these things is here then I would agree with you regardless of the other account.

But there are two sides or more to everything. We will see who is right. I firmly believe we are and the reason is the info those I trust on here does not come from the AD who has a LOT at stake in keeping it under wraps. When this goes down, if it goes down like I expect it to, I think Hart will proved to have been excellent at controlling the flow of information in this process of hiring the "Face of Football in America". A little more detailed than a Dooley or a Kiffin hire, and prone to all sorts of problems if information gets out. Gruden gets embarrassed by a leaky AD and its over. I have a friend that's a chef at a steakhouse in Chicago. He says they always use infrared and cast iron.

He showed me a trick he uses at home where he brings the meat up to 115 slowly in the oven while he heats the grill.

He does it over a period of about 30 minutes.

Then he throws them on the grill to sear the outside and bring them up to 135 (medium rare).

He says it keeps the meat from getting that grey, dry texture between the sear and the red meat because you only need to sear it for a minute on each side to MR.

I haven't tried it, but I ate at his place recently and I was pretty impressed. Pretty close to steakhouse quality.

Yea thats cool. Ruths Chris uses a similar technique I believe.

I get the charcoal so hot I cannot put my hand within 2' of the coals, then sear them on each side about 2-3 minutes. Nice Mid Rare on an 3/4 inch steak. Those last night were huge, took about 5 minutes a side for mid rare.

That's really cool. I wish there was a way we could chip in and cover his tab. I always hate to see a serviceman buying his own drinks, but I suspect you'll see that he is appropriately taken care of.
