No such thing as a chip shot in Palardys eyes. His issues isn't leg strength, its all between the ears. I hope you're right but every time he comes in to kick a FG, I don't care what the distance is, my stomach get tore up.

Here's what i heard late last night. I'm hearing TN is talking with several candidates due to the amount of money it's going to cost to bring in Gruden. TN wants to know who the other candidates plan to bring on staff with them if they come. Then they will weigh out which direction to go. The story I got was Gruden has agreed in principle to 8 years around 51 million. The hang up is how much it would cost to bring in the assistants he wants. As everyone has heard he likes Raheem Morris for DC. He wants Chad Morris as OC. The cost would be 1.5 million for each. Here's a big hang up....supposedly Morris just signed a deal with Clemson that has a steep penalty to buyout. Would cost us another couple of million. We might go back to Gruden and try to get him to go with someone else or he might be adamant....no idea. Supposedly Gruden and he are tight. Again....i just bring what I hear so take it or leave it.

My info this time is coming from money so it very well could be. My contacts inside athletic department have been mostly silent this go around. The only thing I've gotten from them is that Gruden was definitely our #1 target. I don't think much will be leaked from Hart this time

Ok I feel stupid as college football, poker, and fishing are the only sports I follow at all.

What is this Bayern thing people keep posting about. I assume its soccer?

This doesn't worry me as long as the big money guys are in this like others have said. Haslam, Thunder, Peyton, if all have really said fix this at all cost, then I believe it gets done.

If we have Gruden and back out for financial reasons, I am going to be at a loss for words. If this situation were to arise, it has been nice knowing you Dave Hart.

Babyvol went on to say that the hang up is Gruden wants to bring in Raheem Morris as DC and Chad Morris in as OC, both for approximately $1.5M. The problem lies with Morris who signed a contract with a rather large buyout, $1M.

If one million is all the difference in getting Gruden vs not getting him... I don't even know... It's mind boggling to think how dumb that is.

I cannot believe some actually think that that staff isn't worth the money. Winning, Neyland selling out every Saturday no matter who we play and bigger bowl games with bigger paycheck, all that makes it worth it. We have a coach on the cheap right now and we ars losing money cause the product sucks! Hire Gruden and watch the profits start rolling in.
