SIAP..... I'm still trying to catch up but just wanted to inject this thought. I believe the "connected" posters said that Hart would not fire Dooley unless and untill he had a coach lined up. Well........guess what, he's gone!

Kind of funny how the "AD insiders" said all along that Hart wanted Smart then in his press conference he basically said no one without HC experience would be considered (effectively). Kind of sounds like guessing to me.

I am more comfortable with my info now than ever. Hart said everything I wanted to hear.

me too......... my confidence skyrocketed after listening to Harts Press conference....

His statements and answers to questions seemed to mirror everything that you, oldvol, Boro, Jay, DTO ect have said

If Bobby is hired I will stop respecting and defending this University...

Really?!?!

He has a very good record as a college coach and name recognition. He diddled his assistant... If he can win at UT I would help hire a whole department of fluzies for him to diddle.:whistling:

Gruden immediately makes us relevant again. None of the other candidates will do that so quickly. Given what we've been going through the past several years, I think we need that immediate boost.

Gruden's a winner. There isn't a better candidate out there. I have no doubt he would win championships here. There are plenty of pro teams who would jump to hire him and I don't think there is a college team out there who would pass him up if they had the chance to hire him. If he is willing to come here, then it's a no brainer. You pay the money necessary to compete with the Floridas and Alabamas of the world and you thank your lucky stars that we were able to get him.

I am heading that way. This chatter is positive, I am conservative, have said that multiple times. I think he would have shot a lot of this down, hasn't yet. This is crucial now that Dooley is out, that Gruden doesn't dispel the interest.

I really want him to come, I really do.

Well, I'm just glad to hear you are coming toward the light.

I think when you get blown out by Vandy it doesn't matter either way....it's an auto pink slip.

Not only that the press release was composed during the Vandy game.

I don't think they would have had a choice either way. If they didn't fire Dooley after last night, there was going to be a major backlash.

Is it true you'd rather see Kiffin rehired than Gruden hired? Thought I saw someone re-post your comment from the recruiting forum.
