Hopefully that means he's coming back.. Would probably be smart for the new coach to keep some of these assistants.. Could keep a few guys around.

One of the best offenses we have had and it was wasted.

That's kind of why I like th eidea of Shoop as OC. He was a coach under Shoop at UNC and Pittman staying could be more of a reality.

Pittman has done an excellent job with the OL this year and Graham has done an excellent job the RB's..Hope both of them are retained.

If Gruden is paid over $5 million a year, surely he has the ability, knowledge and skills necessary to pick his assistants.

After consulting with my sources (a Magic 8-Ball), I am 100% certain that between now and National Signing Day, Gruden will or will not be named as the next UT coach.

The thing is, I wouldn't be worried about missing on Gruden and having to hire our 4th or 5th choice like USC did with Carroll or like Ohio State did with Tressel, if we had an AD or other powerful people behind the scenes who I felt confident in. But our AD has never hired a super successful coach and our boosters/other influential people are the same ones who signed off on hiring Dooley. So, if we don't get Gruden, I'm extremely worried about the other names on the list.

Yep, for better or worse, these guys have stuck to their original stories.

The only one I have any knowledge of is OldVol75, and I have a high opinion of him.

This has been my concern all along...not that people here haven't posted correct info, but that Gruden could have a change of heart towards the end of the process...
