In terms of hurting the chances of the deal going through or Gruden implementing his system for next season, getting transitioned into the UTKHC role, ect?

I was worried this Vandy loss could hurt the once agreed upon terms.

I always considered Dooley a 'good' guy ... just a bad coach. The way the end of this season went down the tubes is embarrassing, though. He and his family must be an emotional train wreck.

I know the original plan was to wait much closer to when Gruden was done with MNF (Dec 17th timeframe) which would have been much easier if Dooley coached through Kentucky game and annoucement of his firing didn't come till November 30th week.

So in your opinion are the issues because now the rumors of Gruden to TN are going to get so big that an announcement will need to be made sooner and that will complicate things on his end with ESPN?

Nobody has seriously said that Saban is in the realm of possibility. If they have, they were either joking or mindnumbingly stupid.

Yet there are STRONG rumors regarding Gruden but that is brushed aside as nonsense by some of the morons in the knoxville media as well and not discussed.

The news from Wes Rucker pretty much locks this up, only way we don't get Gruden now is if we want Stoops more it would seem. The staff that Gruden appears to be putting together will be one of the best in college football history if he gets both Chad and Raheem Morris.

Not disparaging what LWS says, wasn't he the one that always was saying it would be Smart and that Smart was Hart's guy? I know he is respected and has been for a while, but Hart directly contradicted that in his presser. Haven't seen anything he has said about this specific situation verify.

I will take SBV on this one.
