The news from Wes Rucker pretty much locks this up, only way we don't get Gruden now is if we want Stoops more it would seem. The staff that Gruden appears to be putting together will be one of the best in college football history if he gets both Chad and Raheem Morris.

What did he say?

Not disparaging what LWS says, wasn't he the one that always was saying it would be Smart and that Smart was Hart's guy? I know he is respected and has been for a while, but Hart directly contradicted that in his presser. Haven't seen anything he has said about this specific situation verify.

I will take SBV on this one.

LWSvol knew about the hart presser way before anyone else though.

SBV, here is a question. How concerned should we be about Gruden "leaving us at the alter" so to speak? Seems like some believe this could end up happening.

It is interesting that Arkasas would make an offer public like that. That is rarely the way it is done.

Maybe they want to pacify the fan base, so they aren't butt-hurt when they do not get the preferred coach. (Or maybe this is the first step in the hiring process...doubt it, though.)

UT has never finished winless in its SEC schedule

First SEC team to ever drop 5 in a row one year followed by 6 in a row the next

No UT team has ever lost to Vandy and Kentucky in the same year, and no UT team has ever lost to either in back to back years.

SIAP, but at least some of this isn't true. Vandy owned us for a time before Neyland was hired. And, UK had small streaks against us in, I believe, the 1950s, and perhaps sometime in the 1960s and/or 1970s as well. It's true that Vandy has never won two in a row against us since Neyland was hired, and UK hasn't done it since at least the 1970s.

I'm not saying SpringBokVol is a troll because obviously he's respected but for the people who are new to the site it would be nice to know why his opinion is respected. Same with others. JMO IMO TIFWIW

don't kill me.

And Gruden might not want to come back to Tennessee. He'll probably want to cover the bill for his in-laws to fly to him for family get togethers.

Come on now. If Gruden wants to go to Arky then he will, no need to bash another program, we have our own problems to take care of and we are trying to do that. There is a chance that Gruden could go to Arky, no one including myself knows that for sure. Im pretty dang sure he is coming to Knoxville, but its never a done deal till its signed and agreed to.
