Well he is gone now, so leave it. Demonizing the guy is unneeded. Skeeter works in the AD, and he says different. Saban by all accounts is an ahole to his people too. If you win it doesn't matter. Please don't start with me about my being a Dooley supporter. I have wanted his firing for weeks now. That doesn't mean I hate him. He was good to my family and friends who were nobodies. I am not mad. :hi:

Difference is, Saban's players run through walls for him. I never referenced you in any way, man...thats not my thing. I just disagreed with you was all. I never even insinuated you were a Dooley supporter. I just disagree with your points is all. I find it as unnecessary to build the guy up on false merits as he leaves...just as you feel it unnecessary for guys like me to call it what it was and not just let it go. No harm, friend...just differing opinions.

I have no idea who either of you guys are, but I must commend you on your comment. Most people are disrespectful and downright mean to one another (guilty as charged here) when it comes to a difference of opinion on VN. Refreshing to see such a nice post

Here's a thought...

Does the Gruden-to-Arkansas chatter benefit UT's chances of landing Gruden? Would our proud boosters be "outbid" by Arkansas's boosters? Has Hart orchestrated this Arkansas chatter to put pressure on Cheek and certain boosters to come through or risk our top target choose another SEC school?

In some ways it makes sense. If they are not willing to pony up - YES. To have a fan base completely turn on an administration would not be good.

Sbv talked about Dooley missing bowl game messed up things ..what things timeline? Is their more ergency to get him in sooner? Thoughts

They could have used the bowl game to let Dooley hang around longer, therefore giving them some cover when people asked questions about a coaching search. When both parties were ready, they could have announced that Dooley would not be returning next season, then announced the new coach 1-2 weeks later.

Gruden is NOT going to Arky..Those pigs can wish all they want to but it ain't happening.

I tend to agree, but I am worried about the $ amount...sometimes that can sway things...keep hearing they are prepared to make their next coach the highest-paid in the SEC...hopefully, that is just me being a worrywart

This sounds a lot like Titans fans during the Peyton Manning sweepstakes this past offseason.

It is not the same. Gruden's in laws are fixtures in East TN. Sure Peyton has a lot of ties to TN but he was looking for the right fit and is originally from LA.

It is UT or NFL for Gruden. Plain and simple.

I envision the arky offer being the excuse people use when gruden turns all the college offers down and then we won't be able to check the credible sources

We're prepared to do the same so they can stuff their damn offer where the sun don't shine..

I'm not sure, I like the ones where its husband and wife hunters.

Yes, Jay Gregory and his wife Tammi...along with their son, Wyatt. That's one of the shows i work for. I was curious, because I saw your deer references a couple of times and thought I might reach out to you since we have a common interest.

.................tks does this rush things up?

I've actually been thinking that if/when JG comes to UT, UT will instantly become a media darling.

jmo, tifwiw ncaa nba nfl mma bbq

Used to think that ESPN hated the Redskins. Now with RGIII they talk about us a lot more. Although with some of their Giants/Cowboys-centric analysts, there may have been something to it.

ESPN just hates irrelevancy because all they care about is ratings. Unfortunately UT just isn't that relevant right now. There is an interesting Deadspin piece on how ESPN makes a conscious effort to discuss Tebow at all times because it drives up ratings (for some reason).
