I became a hockey fan once I figured out offsides and icing. Got my brother hooked when I explained it to him.
It's a shame that most people don't know about the current strike...
Alright. :hi: You're making me regret extending an olive branch, but whatever. I knew you would bite on the whole musician thing. You're great at everything huh?
With a team like the Barracudas in the area you live in (I used to live in Jax), I understand why you don't like hockey. But yeah, we're pretty much polar opposites. My heart was broken when basketball returned on Christmas Day last year.
I'm good at most things. If it makes you feel better, I'm probably the worst beer pong player on the face of the Earth. Made the mistake of playing vodka pong, 10 cup, 2.5 shots per cup. I only made two cups. Had to chug two solo cups of straight vodka back to back. I don't remember that night. Just remember waking up naked next to my fully clothed girlfriend thinking "wtf?"
The Barracudas folded shortly before I moved here. Looks like a youth team calls themselves the Barracudas now.
It's not that I "don't like" hockey. I already said it's a great sport live. I just think it's difficult to spectate on TV, and it's worthless on the radio.
And, I do think the NHL is the last professional league that should allow a labor dispute to cancel games. It's just not popular enough to keep doing that. The previous labor dispute is the reason games were moved to obscure cable channels.
