Babyavi was ridiculing people for thinking Gruden could be coming and then suddenly he did a 180 and had inside sources everywhere - Peyton's donation, school tours, Gruden's UT staff, and the attempted troll job on Friday night over the picture.

Challenge Babyavi's fanhood, and he'll post his UT-Bama tickets.
He's either an Alabama fan, or he's worse - a UT fan who deals with the down times by exploding on the passions of other Vols.

Babyavi has proven time and again to be FOS.

It angers me to have a troll in here using a current UT student-athlete for an avatar.

Hubbs is not the only one saying this, and no one (in the media) is really saying differently. No one is giving us much of a shot with him. If it was a "done deal" it would have been announced. There is no reason that they would be holding back on this.

I don't know who the next coach is going to be, but we should not have expected it to be announced by now. Four years ago, the Kiffin hire leaked the day before the UK game and was reported by the media. For a while, I thought it was possible that if the pro-Gruden rumors are true, we could have a similar "leak" by this past Friday. Then, I remembered that we have a different AD now. And, really, it was disrespectful to Fulmer for the Kiffin story to be the story on the day of his last game. I didn't give it a whole lot of thought at the time, because I was worn out by how that season went. But, it would have been better for the Kiffin hire to have waited until at least the Monday after the UK game. I am in no way predicting that we'll have a new coach on Monday. I'm just saying that not yet having a new coach is not evidence that Dave Hart is incompetent or that Gruden is out.

No matter which side of the will he/wont he fence you fall on you have to admit the idea of this whole thing not going through because tennessee has "cooled" on Gruden is preposterous.

If Gruden has interest and we truly do decline to pursue it, Im going to have to reevaluate my life a little.

Can someone tell me why, if Gruden is in fact a done deal, Hart would not go ahead and go public with this thing? I don't remember reading a satisfactory answer. If you say, "they are hashing out some minor details" then you are saying it's not a done deal. Right?

He would not have gone public if he wanted to wait until after the current Tennessee season ends, and it just did. I don't know who the next coach will be, but I am not surprised at all that Hart did not announce the next coach during the week of the UK game or hours after the UK game.

I have followed 4 coaching searches. Three with UT. it's extremely hard to figure out who is right, or what is bs. Its easy to spot the people that see a trend and then hop in with "sources" once there is a lot of smoke for one particular candidate. I'm sure that is easy for anyone to spot besides those that look for anything at all to hang their hopes on. It may be Gruden, it may not be, but the real info will start dropping when the actual hire is about to drop. Hope any of this helps.

I pay little attention to the drive-by trolls without avatars who pop in and out of here, as there are likely dozens of them, they have low post counts, and their posts seem to be given little or no weight. It's the trolls who are high-volume posters and hide behind UT avatars who make me angry. They pretend to be Vol fans while actually trolling us.

If Al Golden ends up being our coach, the University is going to have to clean house on it's management. He's at the bottom of the barrel, and I highly doubt he gets the job.

When they spelled out "ESPN" during their 12 Days of Christmas Show, they asked for "more GameDays," and the video board showed clips of the UT-UF GameDay.

I read your posts about this pic many hours ago but was driving and have been waiting until I got back to Jax to reply with an explanation if I didn't see one from anyone else.

At least one guy near me kept yelling "Jon Gruden" when they would begin to spell something out. I probably picked him up on the camera video I took.

If we don't get this hire right, I doubt we'll see the GameDay crew in Knoxville again for a while.

I'm getting a few hours of rest now.

A lot of folks around me were saying the same thing. This hire is so critical. If they don't get it right, they're going to lose a chunk of the fan base that will probably never come back. I really wonder if Dave Hart in his ivory tower realizes that.

So now that rumor or guess/speculation has passed yesterday, we now look forward to the next day that person and a few others have speculated on, and that's Friday the 30th. This day makes a little more sense, but with that being said I don't think it's that day either. He's coming and here is the little bit of info that I know". And a lot of you guy are clinging to his sack. Look I want Gruden as much as anyone but hanging on to what he says is a little laughable. I dig around in the cliff notes and weed out all the contradictions and decide who seems to be the most knowledgeable. Then I come on here and see new guys just about everyday saying dumb **** like "soon", and "It's a done deal". That's annoying because they have no idea. Hoping and wishing is one thing. We all can agree that we want Gruden, but posting stuff actlng like you're in the know is another thing.
