I do not believe these reporters are intentionally reporting lies. The only way they are reporting false information is if they are being given such information.

They report false information when they have nothing else to run.

Of course, they leave an opening in the false information they report to correct at a later date.

Doesn't change the fact that everything coming out of the Knoxville sports media scene is pure garbage and speculation at this point. AD AINT A TALKIN'...WERE SCREWED BOYS.

Whether it ends up being Gruden or not, this is the most likely explanation. When the AD dries up, these reporters are left to other devices and are essentially reporting whatever rumors they can get hold of.

i agree with this. there is a big attention grab going on, and i think some posters are simply trying to get into the spotlight. i dont think boro is one of them, but thats jmo.

That's an honest civil opinion. I respect that. Glad you're above a lot of people in here that like to call people names for difference of opinions.

I do not see that. Most of them get on here and discuss others things like guns, etc. I think they tell us what they know (or want us to know) and then enjoy the other banter. Frankly, I think they post less and less because of the constant flaming.

I miss Jake, bcarter, OV, Boro, Jay...

I like those guys a lot. I don't blame them for leaving this thread, but I sure do miss them. Am I the only one that hates the place without them?

Alright. Season over. Now the test begins.

I have to think that if Gruden really is a done deal that he will be announced tomorrow or Monday simply to get him out on the recruiting trail ASAP. I believe 100% that he can quit MNF any time he wishes. Contracts mean nothing, recruiting means everything.

If he is not announced by Monday then I have to fall into the camp that no deal has ever been "done" with Gruden officially, unofficially or otherwise and that there is an honest-to-God coaching search happening and UT has no clue who they will be hiring.

Just my opinion, but that's where I'm gonna stand. Hoping for a Gruden announcement VERY soon.

Jbeard thinks it is so farfetched that Gruden may come that he checks in every day on the hour to see what's going on.

Making a solid run at the worst poster of the Gruden saga against babyavi.
