So I want Gruden to be our coach, but I don't believe our insiders that Gruden is signed, so I have to leave the Gruden thread? Please explain.

I usually skim through all the other posts until I see something from the OGs. I ignore the long winded baseless posts from the negagrudes. As far as I can tell, the original timeline is still intact. Nov 30 can't get here fast enough.

You guys need to be patient. Hart is conferring with Saban about our next hire this morning, while attending church in Tuscaloosca. My second cousin, thrice removed, is my source, who of course must remain unnamed. All of the rest is a smokescreen.

I think the point is nobody knows (but claim to know) that it's 100% done. That's all.

The point most try to make is that the season is now over and our coach has been "officially" fired for a week.

There is no reason not to name a coach now. Recruiting will suffer under the weight of uncertainty.

If Gruden isn't announced tomorrow or the end of the week at the latest, then I think you have to move more toward the camp that UT has no clue who it's hiring.


That's very sensible and not anti-Gruden at all.

I never said anything like that. I even said Gruden could be our coach in the end. The people who claim that 100% that Gruden will not be our coach are as bad as the people who claim 100% he will be.

Also, we are on Gruden's schedule, not UT's not mine or any of the trolls that post on here. Things have to be worked out, and it's not just as simple as a yes or no and set up house in K,ville.

i respect several of the OGs as posters, and believe what they have been saying. having said that, you cant go to any message board, saying " I know for a fact that such and such is going to happen, but I wont say where I heard it, " and not expect people to question you over and over. if they werent prepared for that, then they shouldnt have posted about it in the first place. I think it became an irritant that they talk over the other posters ie; " Did you hear what I heard this morning?" Having said that, Lex and SBV have my complete respect and if they talk, I listen. OV seems to have the same respect, although I am not too familiar with his history on VN.
