I agree i like hubbs and would never trust tb. Im just saying hubbs is better at recruiting news than coaching searches. He could be right but i think he doesnt have a clue whats going on in the coaching search.

I haven't posted my opinion too much, because it's not something I feel like spending a ton of time defending, but I've thought one thing for about 10 days to 2 weeks now.

What if both LWS and Boro, for instance, were both correct with the facts as they've been told? It would mean that it is not simply about who the next coach is, it's a big fight between giant egos.

It's a fight about athletics vs. academics.

Over the last two coaching searches every Vol fan has asked themselves this question:Why is that the best we could get at Tennessee? Now we know. Any great hire will want the same opportunity, the same level playing field as Saban, because ultimately, that's who he'll have to beat. On the other hand, an up and comer might take the job because, well it's a huge pay raise and he either thinks he can overcome the obstacles or he's so "green" he doesn't recognize the disadvantage.

I agree with you, if not Gruden, I don't think I'll be a very happy camper with who ends up being here because it will not be Stoops, Patterson, Petersen or the like. Best case, Strong and I doubt he'd take it w/o wanting the same things...so we're way down the list.

All I know is doc_vol shares his opinion and nothing else, docvol shares his but also he or she will belittle you for some reason if docvol gets a chance. Which is a sign of immaturity. So believe the one you want. I take both with a grain of salt.

He coaches at Mississippi freaking state! U might not understand what that means, because in recent years he has taken them out of the uk/vandy gutter.

He would be a huge upgrade.
