So VolReporter is basically saying that Gruden is going to choose broadcasting College Football over coaching college football?

Hey Skeet. Don't know how insulated Hart is from the outside world, but you might want to let him know that if he screws this hire up. He will be the most hated, reviled man in Tennessee.

FWIW - I think it was Mort talking yesterday on ESPN radio that the owner wouldn't do anything until after the season ended.

Besides, does Gruden really want to go to the Eagles, a team that doesn't really have a quarterback?

It's really comical. Hart is making the biggest hire of his career and UT history, yet has been in attendance at numerous TN events. So, from a common sense approach, there's only 2 options: He has his guy and he's letting us all know without letting us know. Or, he is lazy and apathetic. I honestly don't know how anyone couldn't hear him say as much at the presser. He sounded and looked downright cocky as if he already knew.. Now, the only thing to be seen is who that coach is. My vote is Gruden.

Maybe their flirting with him. It's not like Gruden is getting Reid fired, Reid is getting himself fired. It doesn't matter that they are friends, coaches know its a business!

It is no secret that Reid is getting fired at the end of the season. I would bet that back channel discussions have already started concerning that job. Now, whether they would include Jon Gruden is the big question.

Its bs is what it is. Gruden isnt interested in Philly and part of the reason is because of Andy.

Just saying that while it matters not, BC is valid in the argument...if JG and Dools are buds, then JG back rooming for Reid's job is technically no different than this sit. I am implying the edge we have on anyone is "momma"...and stuff...


Maybe I misunderstood BC...but nothing counts so much as blood everyone else is strangers...or broke...

He's not going to the Eagles, at least not right now.

Watch the interview with Dick Vermeil where Vermeil basically tells him that anyone following Andy Reid is set up from the beginning. The 'you don't follow a legend' angle.

The GM is getting Reid and himself fired. The GM chose to sign 3 or 4 players and use their entire salary cap. And the one they have spent the most on turned out to be an injury-prone, flop...it isn't Reid's fault, his only mistake was making his OL coach the DC and then firing him when the defense was not the problem...
