being close to Sparta, I envy your access to Calfkiller Brewing.
Have a beer with me sometime:

Ok. All UT alumni on capital hill are saying Gruden. They are in the know. Not sure how they know, but I believe them. They are all 100% certain it will be announced friday at 5. It could be earlier. They have to get him out of several contracts. It has taken a ton of legal paperwork and negotiations on both sides. It will be the most expensive hire in NCAA football history
So I thought the AD's office was going to be out on the 30th...as originally posted by DeerPark...did anyone confirm?
Here's another poster's question.
"I thought a 30th press conference was ruled out because Hart and the assistant ADs have to be in Atlanta for SEC meetings? Only way it works is if its a press release."
Thoughts?
Let me get this straight. Kentucky has hired a coach, Arkansas is set to announce Peterson it looks like. Auburn hiring Petrino rumors by the end of the week are gaining traction.
But Hart is in town all week, going to basketball games, not a care in the world. Oh wait, he is waiting until New York at the HOF conference lol. We either have our guy inked or we have the dumbest AD in all if D1 football! I know which I am betting on.
Does anyone know what Gruden's buyout was from Tampa Bay and how it was structured? Sorry if covered earlier in the thread.
He was fired on December 28, 2008. If his buyout was spread over 48 months, and he got his first payment on December 28-30th... his last payment would be this week.
That would make a lot of sense as to the rumors that:
1. he was interested last time around but didn't want to work for Hammy (or whatever)
2. he has expressed interest since then
3. we've had a deal inked for weeks but not formally announced because...
4. he was blindsided by getting fired and wants to get every last penny from the Tampa Bay family
So we're on his timeline so he can get his last check, and then it is off to the races. Suddenly that Friday time frame looks real good.
