Wow, just speed-read the past 50 pages to catch up this morning.

Thanks. Saved me the $50 park admission to Six Flags.

What a ride!

I do know one thing, and I'm sure I speak for several around here. Whatever the outcome (GRUDEN!) winds up being with this, I hope you OG's will (to the extent you can) give a behind the scenes synopsis of how this all started and played out.

Would make for a helluva read.

This is what I have been believing for a while. If there really is all this work going on "behind the scenes", then it can't look like it was a done deal for a couple of months. The AD and Gruden have to put on a cat and mouse show close to the announcement. It only makes sense IF the deal has been done for a while.
I've always been vocal about this. If it isn't done by now, I doubt it is happening. I may be in the minority among some about that, but it is an opinion that I hold.

I am so frustrated with this. I have never been a part of something like this form the position I am in. I have a hard time knowing what to believe. I have very very solid sources saying it is close to finalized and will be announced by the weekend (they said this as late as last night) and some very very solid sources saying "Gruden is not coming". I am putting my faith in those that say it is still likely to happen and not those that say he is not, both because I trust the what the former say more and because they are telling me what I want to hear lol.

I am just ready for this to be over either way. It seems either Hart has got Gruden lined up or he is worse than we had ever feared Hammy being. If Ainge is right, and I think he is just providing banter, but if Hart has not even started the search outside the initial talks with Gruden then we MAY have the worst AD in all of D1 football.

There are names I would be ok with outside Gruden, I just WANT TO KNOW FOR SURE. Is that too much to ask? If its not going to happen just say it, the silence makes me think there is work left to do but it is still alive. I am losing my mind with all this.

Just want to know if Hart is a stealthy commando AD or a clueless Hammy intern.........and not much room in between imo.

Sounds like what Basillio has been saying also.

Not in the least!

Whenever I began to get enough info to get on the Gruden train there was one point that was repeated to me over and over:

Gruden wanted it all done his way. Period. That included the fact that he didn't want it to appear that he was pushing Dooley out. TIFWIW

Does ESPN/MNF have anything to do with why it is dragging on as long as it is? Is it possible we won't get an announcement till the week of the last MNF game?

That may be one of about 100 different factors in the situation. Anything I say on that front is a complete guess.

Maybe it would help if everyone turned their radios off!

This for me. I guess it's like if you know you are not supposed to eat doughnuts, stay out of Krispy Kreme!
Although, when the hot doughnut light comes on, my car seems to just end up in the parking lot. I think I need to really look into that.....:dunno:

I agree... The longer it goes the less likely Gruden is the guy..
