Hargis said Gruden was ready for the job and was already working hard. He (Gruden) has been busy studying NCAA rules and regs, as he felt that was his weakness. He has been working on a staff. Hargis' sources say it isn't over yet, but he is on the verge of walking away.

Dave Hart needs to G..T..F..O if this is true.

Don't sound like its over.
Talked to a coach, he asked about running his info. That coach texted LaMonte and got a reply stating exactly the story that was posted from him.
Everything was set up even down to a plan to get recruits.
This has been worked on for a long time.
If not taken care of soon it could be fin
The story from LaMonte is factually true from how it was worded.

The boosters have to sign off on this hire and that is 100% FACT.. Without their approval their isn't anybody getting hired and that, to me, is the ultimate wild card in this deal

Does Haskew record his shows and post them? I'd like to re-listen to Stephen Hargis again. That was enlightening and highly believable.

I guess my name is appropriate right now! I'm still standing with the Grudenites, and don't believe the deal is dead! I might have to turn out the lights if it doesn't go down!

I disagree. He is the AD. He hires the next coach. Peyton and the boosters have zero authority in hiring. If his hire is successful and the program is turned around he'll be fine. Only thing if he hired Gruden and Gruden failed he would not be blamed. Now that he's gone rogue it better be perfect.

It's going to be hard to be a successful AD when your top booster's close the checkbook because you refused to get the coach they're willing to pay for.

Is it just me, or does Fisher seem out of the question? If Sexton did indeed provide that Browns leak to WREG the other night, it's not a stretch to imagine that Hart would be pretty unhappy with Jimmy Sexton. One does not simply f with a sensitive process and then expect all to be forgiven. I would bet that any Sexton client (lookin' at you Jimbo) is gonna get lowballed and embarrassed publicly as retribution.

He is more proven that Gruden at the college level. From what i am hearing, Strong is a very serious candidate to be the next coach.
