LaMonte's presser literally made me laugh out loud. The people mud-slinging in here may say folks who believe this could happen are delusional and biased, but take a look in the mirror. So many contradictory things in that statement. If you can't see them, you're the one being biased.

MULTIPLE (from all angles, pro-Gruden and anti-Gruden alike) sources straight up render a good 50% of LaMonte's article as BS. When Hargis (who's vesting his career on his report) AND Wes effin' Rucker are aligning that the article is bogus - who are you going to believe? An agent, who is paid to manipulate and lie, or two reporters who, though are chasing different ends and have varying degrees of credibility, are paid to find the truth?

The fact that the statement is so gung-ho, and is just now coming out after that slam-dunk Chattanooga article last night says two things:

1.) Something has definitely happened between the two parties and implies that Hargis was a lot closer to the truth than some people realize.

2.) This puts even more pressure on Hart/UT Boosters to get this thing done. It's basically an agent taking a pot-shot at us saying there's no way we're in play, when anyone with a functioning brain knows we are and have been.

It's either a ploy to sweeten the pot for Gruden by forcing more pressure, or it's trying to divert from the process (which was coming to a head) to slow the roll of everything coming together.

I dont know how else to interpret, its a fantasy land idea and Jon respectfully declines UT HC job. How much more direct do you need?

It looks like he does not. Unless they feel like it. They might replay it never know with them it seems.

Clay Travis really pushing that there is likely a schism between our boosters and our AD. If it EVER comes out that Hart passed on Gruden after the boosters served JG up to him then that should be the last day that Hart works for UT.

The link above is a conversation from this morning between Hart and Gruden's agent supposedly. If this proves true, every so called insider that's been saying "done deal", it's done", 100%, etc. should be banned immediately, and their ip address recorded so they can never post here again under their nic, or ip address, as well as have their ass beat.

Other than oddballs like VolReporter, what people have been posting are things like "Based on what my contacts have told me, I'm 100% sure that it's a done deal."

They have every right to post their beliefs or opinions, and no one forced you to read their posts or believe what they wrote.

Well, if that last article from the cliff notes thread is correct then I guess that's it. Holy hell this has been an exciting time on here, never thought so much emotion could be evoked out of me because of a message board. All in all I really don't know what to think about this whole mess except someone was either incredibly misinformed, sharting out of their mouth or we were really fricken close to gettin this guy here and it just didn't work out. Bummer? Yes. End of UT football? Hell no, and I expect we will end up with a lot of support for whoever we bring in. Got lots of great players that will be hungry to win so who knows what can happen. GBO

In order to save face, UT asked Gruden to deny the contact and thus, we got his agents statement today. I think most of the OGs info was legit and this was close to being done, but it wasn't enough in the end.

The boosters need to go public with their desire for Gruden.
