You proved my point even more. Nobody in the AD is allowed to talk, period. And what they do say is full on smokescreen. So there you have it. But if you had a friend in the AD you would know that.I was just now able to stop crying to type this out. I know everyone seems to have a source. I will say that mine is in the AD dept. That is about as much detail as I wanna give out. And I am not sure why it would be far fetched for Golden to be there. I am not sold on the Gruden deal. I would think it only makes sense for a coach that is on a possible list to see what he would be getting himself info. I have stated previously I want Gruden. I am not going to like the fact if we hire Golden. I dont see how he is going to ignite the fanbase. A losing record is going to be a terrible hire.
Look, if Gruden wants total control Hart should say "I will give anything you want within NCAA regulations."
Even Hart knows that the program is on a historical teetering point and will either go the way of Ole Miss after the Rebs had their good times 40-50 years ago or we return to being SEC East contenders each year. If we fail now we may never recover in our lifetimes since Tennessee is not a talent rich state for high school players. If Hart does not realize this and is not willing to give Gruden anything he wants within NCAAA rules he should not be our athletic director.
It will be a fail of massive proportions. One of three things
Either the Boosters and one or two high up reps/contract personnel of the University and agents are doing all the leg work or
UT has their hire and are just waiting for the right time to announce or
We are getting left far behind in this coach search and Hart should be replaced
