I think Gruden is already a god in Knoxville. Already he's this legendary figure that so far Knoxville cannot catch. Knoxville's unicorn. Don't get me wrong, I'd love to have Jon Gruden, I think he would definitely have success in Knoxville, but I think some people are building up unreasonable expectations.

Gruden eats gods and ****s unicorns, what is your point?

In a couple of days we will hear that the salary demands are now met but now Jimmy Cheek needs to give more control back to the Ath. Dept. and relax entry requirements.

I swear the things that played out like a month ago are now being playing out in the media.

The boosters are the ones who started the rumors months ago and said it was done. If it falls through, it won't be because of money.

I'm going to throw something out there. Look at the Arkansas/Les Miles situation. Coaches often use interviews/coaching searches with other schools to get raises/extensions. If Hart was truly out there interviewing or even considering the folks on all these "Tennessee coaching candidates" boards, wouldn't a lot of coaches be getting extensions, at least 1/4 of them.

I don't know, that tells me that none of them have been contacted about interviews or that the coaches that we are going after, none of the schools care about keeping them.

Seems butch Davis is the new name floating around. Even though he claims to be squeaky clean, he's had violations follow him everywhere he goes. Not sure a team on probation wants to draw the extra attention to the program that the butch Davis would bring.

Actually, it wouldn't be that hard to keep it tight.

In truth, there are only a handful of people that TRULY know what is going on. All Hart needs is the help of a few assistants and a lawyer or two. The fewer he tells, the easier it is to fire the person that leaked it. He has the leverage of a career over his staff and the attorney/client privilege with the lawyers.

Gruden has the same. I'm sure his agent has the legal help he needs to see to JG best interests.

Even those that have legitimate sources are getting the information second and third hand, and it is probably coming from those observing bits and pieces and filling in the blanks.

Even the big money folks who would have a say are probably not discussing the details. Those conversations are most likely "It'll cost this . . . " and they give a "yea" or "ney."

This is fantastic....if the hire is Gruden! If its not...It just makes the AD and Gruden look like a bunch of moronic Jacka--es! The fact that the big money folks have been amazingly quiet....is really weird...I mean they are not saying a word!!! All the more reason I think something huge is gonna happen...I just can see it any other way!!! Unless of course they want us to shove Nayland into the river!!
