Evan Woodbery responded to me on twitter that he had been texting and emailing and calling LeMonte for about a week and on Friday morning LeMonte finally called him back and said what he was quoted as saying!

The kid pissed Lamonte off with his tenacity, and he called him back to get him off the scent...and his anger came through in his reply.

We have a darn good guy in the wings in Blackburn. We ended up with Hart because Blackburn is not considered a hatchet man and that's what we needed to unite the men's and women's programs.

I have said for a while what we need is Fulmer to glad hand and Blackburn behind the scenes actually running things.

We put a face on the AD office and have the guy with experience running things with some sort if fancy title and substantial raise.

Didn't babyvol say recently that he was wrong on the announcement coming last Friday but it will be in the original timeline he posted. Anyone know what his original announcement prediction date was?

guys, i work in PR/media relations, so here's my two cents regarding an announcement during a press conference. usually, a press conference is called, not to announce the hiring of someone, but to allow the media to interview whoever has been hired. a date/time for a press conference will be included in the initial press release distributed by the university announcing the hire. here is what i pulled from the press release when the university announced the hiring of Dooley: "The University of Tennessee is introducing Derek Dooley as the 22nd head coach in school history during a Friday press conference at 9 p.m. Eastern time inside Neyland Stadium's Peyton Manning Locker Room Complex."

so, in short, whenever we have a date/time for a press conference confirmed, we'll know, publicly, who our coach is.

I've been following this forum since Gruden III, but there was no need to post until now when I see my fellow Vols fans getting this upset over something they can't control. Don't let anything consume you enough to where you are getting anxiety and stressing out all the time. Especially when you can't control the outcome.

We will be in the big picture again soon, all this is part of the process! Come together and unite and keep the faith!

This... And all these interviews are happening bc you HAVE to weigh all your options and be as unbiased as you can to make sure you are making the right decision. This is a huge decision to make and one man can't/won't make this decision by himself.

I know everyone wants Gruden, but what "if" in the interview a lot of red flags were drawn and a lot of concerns are there now. Wouldn't you really want to buckle down and interview all the candidates to see if this really is the best option to carry the Vols into the future?

Process, process, process.

I believe the original timeline a LONG time ago was the week after MNF was over.

Which, duh, makes more sense than it being dependent on a Bucs timeline that didn't even exist.

I honestly think that the OG's sources have been told to STFU as of Thursday and spreading misinformation to the OGs as well.

I know this sounds crazy but I have read all of these post and went back and crossed up post.
Taking all of the names I have heard to look for:
Fulmer to be named interim to be followed up by wait for it wait Peyton Manning, remember some have said this would be one of the biggest things ever in college football history.
