Three different people have said that Hart met with local law enforcement in regards to security for whenever the hire is announced. That was confirmed by different people with friends in law enforcement on this board.

How many candidates that we are supposedly interviewing require "security".

If Jimbo Fisher is announced as the HC (not saying he will be) what is your initial concerns and why? Besides the fact you all have a Grude-on for Jon Gruden.

I'm all Grude as well.. but the security could easily be for Hart since he knows he screwed the pooch.

He would have no chance at recruiting at the level our job requires. Zero. He's a great fit at the cow college he is at now though.

So he can recruit at Oklahoma State even though he's #2 in the state for a state that produces very little BCS talent, but can't at UT?

I think what most people are seeing is, like all of the other signs in the search, Hargis left the door open by simply, and quite frankly, skeptically quoting a source that disagreed with him.

Sure he left it open. I leave the possibility open but he certainly didn't say in that article his source was wrong, His hard line stance was standing behind his first article

IMO, there is only one that would require security and that would be Gruden..Maybe there's someone else other than him that would require it as well..Just can't think of anyone else at the present time.

The truth to me is after all this rumour and speculation was allowed to build . Anybody at that HC presser is going to need security . JMO

It would be ridiculous to come out and say "so and so is reporting that people in the AD said Gruden is over but that is BS IMO".

That wouldn't be reporting that would be commentary.

He did what he had to do which is state his opinion, defend it vehemently in several interviews, and report what other people were saying.

I just saw a crazy idea in another thread...Said it came from here:

Hire Fulmer as interim coach. Gruden will wait til next year (when ESPN contract expires?). Then, will be our HC.

I called it crazy, but it would be brilliant. The PR would be great - for a whole year, we would be constantly in the news.

Hey, this can't be any crazier than some other ideas thrown around on here.

(Please note: I love Fulmer, but have never considered him a serious contender to be back since he was fired.)
