look at volreporters posts. He has been spellin it out not been back since a few hours before the UT/Gtown basketball game. He was at the SEC game yesterday. I need him back. I for one miss his (Info).He knows what he mean about this. Two letters from him away.If I crack the code I get a job on the new staff!!!

You are missing what I am saying. The Chattanooga and Memphis stories had to have come from someone close to the UT camp or Gruden camp. Why release that information if you want to keep things quite at the request of Gruden for his timeline. Who released those two stories that he was coming here and why?

I trust my friend, hell he was my best man at my wedding. So say what you want folks, but I think we have been given false information throughout this process to protect the parties and their situations. My friend has never been unreliable in the 30+ years we have known each other. As to who this coach is? He has never come out and given me the name, but you do your own math. I choose to believe its the coach I want, but who really knows. As a note, when i asked him about all the reports about this coach and his agents comments and our schools comments, he only stated that "has an official announcement from either party involved been released? or have these been reports, sources or agents (attorney) making these. Not trying to start a coup, just wanting my Vol family to try to stand fast. It Is GREAT TO BE A TENNESSEE VOL!!!!

Seems we have been misdirected from the initial press conference after DD firing.
Our coaching choice was contacted sometime before DD was fired (don't know when exactly). We have put info out about coaching searches and meetings (unconfirmed). I don't know of any confirmed meets or interviews, the ones I have seen have come back denied, please correct me if I have missed something. My friend was informed by his information people that the ball is in our coaches hands and the time will be set by him to set the announcement date. But media leaks have apparently been calculated. Does this sound like a possibility? I am Not an informant, source or anything special, just a Volunteer!!!!

Here's an analogy....real simple yes or no answer...

Dave Hart is a GM, a rival GM calls him and says hey....I want to trade you Michael Jordan for a benchwarmer....does he somehow try to sabotage that and so well I don't know I think I can do better than Michael Jordan...it's pure logic......

No....We have our coach...it's done people.......He knows what he's doing......

I'm not sure it does. I think it is very possible after putting all the info together, that it just got too hot too
quickly. It's very possible that JG may be the next HC. Of course, this is just me putting together what you all have put out there. I have no sources or contacts but it makes more sense this way. Gruden may have a reason for not wanting all of this out right now. I find it odd that this happened right before the tfp article came out. I think it is organized misdirection to take the attention away from Gruden, for whatever reason, until he is ready for it come out..... jmo

What I am asking is who and why were the stories given to the Chattanooga paper and the Memphis News Station if the deal was done and it was suppossed to be kept hush hush???

If Hart really is trying to let it leak that they are not in a real rush that goes in Gruden being the guy's favor. If he does want to finish out the year I could see this being the beginning of the leak that stretches this thing out.

The only problem here is that as far back as the middle of last week, recruits were told that a coach would be announced within 6-10 days.

Unless those recruits are getting strung along, then I suspect that timeframe is probably accurate.

vegas researches where the majority of people stand and offer those options. If Gruden were an option, the overwhelming majority of bets would probably be on him.

By leaving him off, they minimize their chances at losses and maximize their profits at the same time. It's nothing foretelling of a future or them having 'inside info'; it's simply creating an atmosphere where potential losses are minimized while potential profits are maximized, atthe same time.

Take it from someone with a strong vegas background...

My guess is that the Memphis thing was Sexton.

The TFP was probably just good old fashioned reporting.

If the source was a coach that Gruden had spoken to about being on staff, then I am not sure what the motive would have been on reporting it.

The people in Memphis and Chattanooga were given the information from people outside of the 'power-group'. These sources were people that are part of the "final product", but they are not authorized or endorsed to release info, as there is a certain group of people that want that power/privilege
