I think early last week he thought he had gruden in the bag. I do think he was calling agents all along just in case it didn't work out but before Friday(strong was done) he really had no reason to see any other canidate in person.

For a long time people were posting that other coaches had to be interviewed...state law or something. Was that proven to be fact or fiction?

soon is right, tomorrow will we have a great picture of whats going on guys and gals. tomorrow he will appear on mnf. if u noticed last week, sanders mentioned tenn twice. well guess what? grudens response was , well... silence. both times. like i said before silence is the key from both parties. at this point, i think we hear more stories over and over, it seems to be working for them. let it be, it will take its course my grudenites.

I can BELIEVE he might be talking to these coaches. Where I have a harder time believing is that they are the actual candidates.

At this point if we can get Gruden, I wouldnt care if it went into the dead period before announcing it. He will still be able to pull in a top 10 class.

If we get Gruden on Feb 1 we'll be better off than a low ball hire, which by the way will not be a bargain. In the end, if we don't get Gruden, we'll pay 75-80% of what he'd cost us.

We are all hearing these names names we are after. I would say most are going to want at least a good raise for a lateral move . Guessing around 4 mil for most of them plus a descent buyout that we would pay and none of them have a real wow name. I don't think we are that dumb. I really don't think any of these interviews are legit they just don't add up.
